Storm the King Afterparty - Newburgh NY // October 2023

Dear fellow humans. Please take a moment to read this. 

This downtempo set was meant to happen live in the Maxa Deer, alongside epic musicians and their instruments on the Friday sunset of Burning Man 2023, yet we had to surrender to a storm that humbled us all and gave us a true rebirth. So we decided to still create a set to elevate a powerful message and we are deeply honored to raise these spiraling frequencies of wisdom to the world through the Maxa Platform that is true family to us.  
Our inspiration for this DownUnders chapter is the collective metamorphosis we are navigating. We cannot deny It feels dark, so It’s more important than ever to keep our hearts open and connect to our craft, as a way to maintain our inner harmony in balance through the turbulence of a wild world. 

This musical journey also reflects the depths of intentionality beating in the heart of Maxa which are now birthing to light for the community. As much passion as we have for electronic music that makes us fly on a dancefloor, we are also widening the spectrum and welcoming other angles of musical craft which can delight our ears in a slow and loving way that speaks to our soul. 

It is so important for us to hear which parts of this journey resonate with you, so If you have something powerful to share in the comments please do so. Now, we do support free expression, yet are also sensitive to the fact that we are all overwhelmingly flooded by dual information in all platforms, so we kindly share… this is by NO means a space to take sides or express political opinions, we will NOT tolerate flags or any kind of propaganda in the comments, this is merely a universal expression of love and a calling for unity through music, so with all our hearts help us get spread the message in a peaceful and harmonious way.

The day will come where we get to share in flesh from the echoes of the Maxa Deer in Black Rock City.

For now, here is another 4 hour immersion into music and poetry to inspire you through the Spirals of Growth.

Hast du dich jemals gefragt wer die große Cheops Pyramide erbaute? 
Wie konnten die Menschen damals tonnenweise Gestein aus hunderten Kilometern Entfernung zum Gizeh Plato bringen? Wie wurden die massiven Steinblöcke so präzise be- und verarbeitet? Welch unglaubliche Ingenieurskunst steckt hinter dieser Konstruktion, dass sich mit heutigen Mitteln so ein Gebilde kaum realisieren ließe. Kam eine uns unbekannte Technologie zum Einsatz, mit Hilfe derer alle diese Planungsschritte ersonnen und umgesetzt wurden?

Historiker vertreten die Ansicht das die einzelnen Komponenten mit Schiffen über den Nil zur Baustelle transportiert wurden und die Steinmetze kaum mehr als bronzene Faustkeile zum bearbeiten der Kalksandsteinblöcke hatten. Einfache Arbeiter und Lasttiere sollen nur mit Seilzügen und bloßer Muskelkraft, Schicht für Schicht errichtet haben. 
Fakt ist die Bauherren verfügten über weitreichendes mathematisches, geometrisches und astronomisches Wissen, anders lässt sich die exakte Ausrichtung dieses Weltwunders kaum erklären.
Handelt es sich hierbei wirklich um die letzte Ruhestätte eines ägyptischen Königs oder wurde die Pyramide zu einem ganz anderen Zweck errichtet?
Und was ist mit den anderen kolossalen Pyramiden, die auf allen Kontinenten dieser Erde existieren?

Vari first started as a DJ back in 2001, on the club scene of Sydney, mainly private raves and parties and from there started arranging her own events/concepts in Sydney, Paris, Berlin, Hamburg and Oslo.

With all these years of collecting music and experiences under her belt, you can expected to be taken on a journey through continents, cultures, time and space. Her music is anchored in the deep, grounding, organic with uplifting melodies to make you smile and open your heart. Her aim is for you to really get lost in the music, feel your power, let go of what is no longer serving you and connect to the love you have within you.
