In July 2016, David Gilmour returned to Pompeii, 45 years after the iconic Pink Floyd concert. The two new events held in the former Roman city were recorded and subsequently edited by the director Gavin Elder. Thus, a new film "Live at Pompeii" was released, which will be broadcast in over 2000 cinemas around the world. In an atmosphere laden with mysticism, Pink Floyd music acquired for the first time that defining resonance, which lasted for years, remaining deeply imbedded in the minds of the listeners and after the band was broken up.
