This week we have the rising star that is Faster Horses. He has been totally killing it since his first release only just a few months ago, and has dialed in his signature sound early on. His new project Seikan has just came to life with an impressive roster full of anthemic bangers, namely his own track 'Transitional Outerwear' which didn't take long to make it's way through the sound system of several clubs after the release went public. One to watch, like we say a lot, but this time we mean it - you will be hearing much more from this young artist in coming months and beyond. Enjoy!

We’re back with a fresh and special SPANDAU20 mixtape: a live set by the talented DJ and producer @phara-6 📼

Phara spins an intricate, contemporary take on techno while never losing touch with the genre's essence while being heavily influenced by Detroit, Berlin, and the UK sounds, as well as post-punk, wave, EBM, and electro. He emerged on the international scene with the "Next Of Kin" album on Black Sun Records. After EP releases on labels like Soma, SK Eleven, Stockholm LTD, and Planet Rhythm, Phara also founded "Phaaar," his own record label. He's known for his vinyl-only DJ sets, blending fast rhythms, industrial vibes, and dub pulses. 🔊

We are thrilled to release this mix as part of our Mixtape series, since it’s a recording of Phara’s live set for the 29-year-celebration of one of Spandau20's favorite clubs, @fusebrussels . 🖤

"It's a 1:20 h extract of a two-hour set. Recorded using two Korg Electribe EMX-1's, an Oto Boum and a Allen Heath Xone96 Mixer. It was the closing set of the first day of a sold out birthday weekend, right underneath the Brussels South train station. It was the first time I played with two Electribes – definitely a gig I will never forget. Unfortunately, the power in the club went down after a while, which cut the recording in half." 🔥

Faster Horses is a producer, DJ and Live Act based in Liverpool, UK. His productions focus on the faster side of electronic music, channeling inspiration from the Copenhagen scene as well as 90s techno and trance. His DJ sets are untamed and energetic, blending multiple genres with ease, energy which he carries into his live sets, with his own productions. 

He is the creator of @seikanlabel, a young label aiming to promote up and coming artists in the techno and trance scenes. With one well received VA already released, their second will be a vinyl compilation, with a heavy hitting lineup of artists who have releases on labels such as Monnom Black, Voxnox and Mama Told Ya.
