IGLO started his musical path at Thomanerchor Leipzig and went through a lot of genres, many of which he is still influenced and affected by to this day. Moving forward he's trying to bring his own style of techno into the world enabling space for dancers & listeners to get lost in interesting melodies, sound design and hypnotic rhythms. With recent releases on Bomphcast & Oscillator One, IGLO is one to watch out for the future!

Next mix comes from one of the many exciting artists coming out of Latin America. Brazilian born Masseran was first brought to our attention with his superb EP “Nômade” which was released on MALÖR (check it if you haven’t already). 

He’s produced an hour of lovely layered, weighty, tribal rhythms with beautifully engineered fx. Gnarly growls and dreamy pads throughout.

Kashpitzky joins for DifferentSound Podcast #185.

Growing up in Tel-Aviv, Kashpitzky was etching out his musical path as a guitar player in a metal-core band. At some point though, he traded amplifiers for drum machines and really turned on the heat. In order to complete a formal musical education in sound design, Kashpitzky relocated himself to Berlin and graduated from the SAE Institute. He is one of those DJs who you can’t clearly pigeonhole in terms of sound. Always changing, always banging, he has a track for every occasion, letting even extended sets never get boring. His unique definition of techno is perhaps best exemplified in his energetic, deep yet groovy productions, often combining broken beats with organic textures. In this regard, it is worth noting his release permanently on Shlomi Aber’s Be As One imprint, MindTrip, Olympian, and more established labels worldwide.

One of its most talented heralds and a surefire groove rider at that, Yanamaste graces us with a choice two hours of the entrancingly deep and bumpy 4x4 epics he’s been laying down for INNSIGNN, Lyree and Khidi in recent times. Paced-up and animal to the core, his vision sweeps an extra wide range of shades and reliefs, nimbly moving the cursor from classic Berlin-inspired blends to full-fledged magmatic trance, via Birmingham-style projections and a solid dose of folk-infused harmonics. Raw yet technical, organic with a hint of hypermodern hoodoo to it, Yanamaste’s sound is the definition of hardware techno with soul, cut to ram-raid and elevate in equal measure.

Resident from the legendary club Fuse, Altinbas is quickly emerging from the ever so interesting and fast developing Brussels’ scene. His releases on acclaimed labels like Token, SK11 and Non Series are a proof of his high quality musical output and authentic producing style. 

His new label Observer Station, home to his own creations opened a way for him to release music without any external constraints and keep exploring new grounds.
