The summer fades with one last sigh,
As leaves begin their dance goodbye.

The earth exhales a sacred breath,
In every bloom now touched by death—
Not mournful, no, but full of grace,
A holy hush upon this place.

The sun still warms, but gentler now,
Like prayer beads slipping through a vow.
The days grow still, the nights grow deep,
A call to soul, a pull to sleep.

O month of pause, of turning in,
Of shedding what has ever been—
You teach the heart to slow, to see
That endings birth what's yet to be.

The Spirit stirs in amber light,
In fog-wrapped fields at edge of night.
Each falling leaf, a whispered word,
Of truths once felt, now softly heard.

So let me walk with open hands,
Through rustling woods and quiet lands.
September, priestess of the year,
Anoint my soul—draw heaven near.
