Ricky Barnes, who was born in Azerbaijan and is half American, is a young, talented music enthusiast who is 23 years old. He began his musical journey in 2015. Ricky is a unique and creative DJ/ producer who explores his passion, unique creativity, and experiences from the atmosphere of deep house to a punch of techno and to a groove of traditional psychedelic trance. 

He is inspired by the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Olivier Giacamotto, Metodi Hristov, Fur Coat, Township Rebellion, and Fernando Ferreyra 
Ricky is also a producer for online platforms and is studying to become an audio engineer. 

 With all the experiences combined in all genres, Ricky puts out content that comes from the heart and soul. He enters you into a trance state where your mind transcends as well as the soul, the body moves, and the heart beats with feelings left with disparity. When in the mix, you can feel the deep, dark, emotional, and exciting atmosphere in the cerebrum. The music moves your soul to a different dimension as you flow through his mix.

Bodymetric is an artist rooted in DIY principles and the belief that techno extends beyond the dancefloor. As a producer, his tracks are best felt in the chest through a resounding kick while other nuanced elements flow in and out of the foreground. In his mixes, Bodymetric guides an evolving journey filled with peaks and valleys that can either shape the listener’s experience or react based on their emotions. Mindfulness is constant. The blistering cold of his home’s winters is also reoccurring theme, where the dancefloor is a rare and valuable opportunity to seek warmth.
