For the 15th chapter of VSA Radio, upcoming local producer and DJ Tino invites you for a daring journey with a one hour mix of mesmerising face melter techno. Tino is heavily inspired by the Birmingham sound, and this inspiration is ever-present in his ruthlessly grinding productions and mixes.

"Ever since I was a kid, I've had a love for intense music genres. I got into the Copenhagen rave scene four years ago, and was enchanted from the very first time I stepped into a party at Et Andet Sted. Soon after, I started to produce techno music and DJ myself, and I have been working on developing my sound ever since. Since I am very self critical about my art, I've struggled a lot with being satisfied with my work. 

However, lately I finally feel like everything I've learned on my musical journey is starting to come together, and I am actually feeling proud and confident to present my productions. Some of them are included in the mix. I hope you will enjoy it!"

Masterminded by Francesco Presotto, Søulless employs the use of mangled metal percussions and harsh, saturated noise however atypical to his contemporaries a focus is placed on the blending of unusual and lush electronic music textures. With the music and composition predominately relying on improvising, Francesco seamlessly melds together the dualities and schisms of these opposing sonic worlds into compositions that are truly singular which is intended to target the listeners wounds of trauma and sear them closed by offering a unique world of escapism.
Touring heavily through the 2000’s as a session musician and having performed at various high profile festivals throughout the world including Vans Warped Tour (US), Impericon Festival (DE), Pukkelpop (BE), Gods of Metal (IT), Wacken Festival (DE), Resurrection Festival (ES) and also having contributed to releases on major labels such as Century Media and Rise Records, Francesco ultimately abandoned the heights of the commercial music industry in exchange for the underground music scene and in 2019 conceptualised and founded Søulless, preferring creative freedom and dedicating himself entirely to the project.
The latest offering by Søulless was the March 2021 self-released two-track digital EP ‘Under The Skin’, a precursor to upcoming full-length ‘Razors for Breakfast’ album scheduled for late 2021 that will see the debut of the new version of the project that includes as permanent member the singer and musician Virginia Bertozzi aka Queen V.

Dim Light is a record label owner and DJ based in Berlin.

Being a music nerd since his early youth, he got into listening to electronic music around 20 years ago. After several years of practicing all by himself he started releasing online mixes around 2011.

In 2015 he launched Nemorous Records together with Anja Zaube and after that played a few selected gigs at events like Apathy at Grießmühle, Tokonoma in Kassel oder Smallroom in Bielefeld, sharing the decks with artists like Talker and Oake.

In 2017 he finally started his own brainchild Voidance Records, so far releasing 5 EPs and 2 tapes and hosting 2 showcases in 2019. Voidance Records deals with the darkest strains of the electronic music genre, hosting new as well as established artists like Meer, Chafik Chennouf&Katsunori Sawa and Llimbs, to name but a few.

Dim Light‘s musical influences range from all different genres like Ambient, Black Metal, Electroacoustic music or Techno, which also reflects in his sets.

◘ ABOUT RELEASE
’’After the very well received „Missing” EP supported by Joseph Capriati, Funk D’Void, Benjamin Damage, Stefan Weise, Temudo, Drumcomplex, Cristian Varela, Takaaki Itoh, Dj Tag and many more, Piotr Figiel enters 2022 with "White Lies" EP influenced by Detroit and minimal techno. On this 4 tracker EP you will find a little lighter side of Piotr’s music - yet still dark, groovy, heavy textured and dance floor oriented. 
The opening "White Lies" provides listeners with solid drums and groove sprinkled with house’y shuffle and surprising atmospheric breakdown. Rolling, dirty and filthy "The Message",  heavily infused with broken timbres, explores the darker and eerie side of club music. Then the "Hm Ah Argh" and it’s anagram counterpart "Hgra Ha Mh" are both deep dives into minimal techno vibe, closing the EP with simple oldschool arrangements and evolving structures. 
On the visual side, the EP is illustrated with beautiful photo taken by Polish artist Łukasz Brzeziński aka. Holzwege. ’White Lies’ will be out 4th of March 2022.’’

◘ ABOUT PRODUCER
Piotr Figiel - music producer, live act performer and dj from Krakow, Poland. Formely known for DCM and Peter Feegle projects, since 2014 Piotr performs under his own name, focusing his work mostly on techno, IDM and hardware based live acts. His music has always been an eclectic mixture of different influences, original sound design and great sound. Piotr’s work has been released on many Polish and international labels, among many dj and live act club gigs, Piotr also performed at Street Art Festival, Ars Cameralis Festival, Tauron Nowa Muzyka and was honoured to play on the legendary Instytut festival in Warsaw back in 2017. Piotr has been hosting the „Essentia Electronica” radio show at Off Radio Krakow station in 2015-2021. The show became one of the most important promotion hubs for the local electronic music scene, artists, collectives and clubs in Krakow. Apart from the solo music activity, Piotr teams up with Dominik Gawroński, creating Krakowitz - nostalgic, synthesizer-based, melodic music project. Piotr also works as a producer, mixing and mastering engineer, helping many artists to achieve the dreamed sound of their records.
