This song was quite intimidating to remix at first. I've never played this game so I wasn't familiar with it initially either. There's a lot going on, and it's normally in a slow rock genre that I am not used to. Aninymouse said they wanted it to be high energy though, so that got me thinkin somethin faster paced might work. Drum, and, BASS baby. Once I got the ball rollin it just flew out of my fingertips like butter. like BUTTAH. The crisp bass and the crisp drums really make this a tight little diddle. I hope you have as much fun listening as I did mixing!

I wanted something that could bump in the club so I went with a slow funky house type beat. Whenever I remix Metroid I always wanna make sure the atmosphere is right, yknow? The soundscape is always airy, glitchy, and mysterious. It was actually somewhat challenging combining that into this kind of a beat, but I think I managed! Some of you might remember that I did a 20 song challenge a couple of months ago, and this was one of the tracks I started. H8Ø8 heard it and was like "SEND THAT TO ME NOW", and so I did lol. We really cooked up a monster here, ranging from Trap to Moombah, to Drum and Bass! It was a lot of fun to make, and it's crazy what you can do with a simple melody sometimes. My GOD we killed this track. This is my favorite game of all time and I love the soundtrack so much, I can't wait for the remake :3
When P2 sent me the stems for this one I just knew we were gonna cook up a banger. I went with a fatty tech house drop and it just swings so hard man. idk what it is but these collabs just keep getting better and better! Maybe we're getting more comfortable yelling at each other about little details but I'm not complaining lmao. Enjoy this bumpin mix, and enjoy the TTYD remake! I loved this song as a kid, and while I technically remixed it along with Gangplank Galleon a long time ago, I think it deserved it's own full fledged remix. We started off thinking bass house for this one, but when I made the drop it just kinda became complextro...oops? Sorry not sorry at all actually cuz this is a banger!
