A charlatan in disrepair, your fault lines glow 
You bask in self illusion from the comfort of your frame 
A mortuary of bridges burnt refuse to turn to dust 

Anaesthetising your mistakes 
You're dragging a magnet over the tapes 
Erasing your guilt, your pride, your high horse alibi 
You scold your hands to save face 
Yet yours is already crumbling away 
Exposing the shade you're so desperate to hide 

Your tongue tied in barbed wire, a story full of holes 
You're drowning in your impotence, the victim of your own words 
You've spun your spin far too thin, now it's the truth that bounces back 
Round up the breadcrumbs, for the scent's already out 
Your picture perfect spotlight comes crashing to the ground 
You don't believe in consequence? Well this should shake your faith
