Born in Dakar in 1959, N’Dour is a singer endowed with remarkable range and poise, and, as a composer, bandleader and producer, with a prodigious musical intelligence. The New York Times has described his voice as “an arresting tenor, deployed with prophetic authority,” and as a voice that “soars heavenward with passion and then wafts tenderly toward earth.” 

As a craftsman of an inimitable brand of ensemble music, N’Dour absorbs the entire diversity of the Senegalese musical spectrum in his work, often filtering his country’s musical heritage through a modernist lens of genre-defying rock or pop music from outside Senegalese culture. 

Named “African Artist of the Century” by the English publication fRoots at the threshold of the year 2000, and to the “TIME 100” in 2007 (Time magazine’s annual list of “the hundred men and women whose power, talent, or moral example is transforming the world”), N’Dour has made mbalax famous throughout the world during nearly thirty years of recording and touring outside of Senegal with his band, The Super Etoile.

French Caribbean Adi Oasis, now based in Brooklyn, is currently taking the music world by storm. On her debut album "Lotus Glow", released in 2023, Adi Oasis combines her her soaring voice, spectacular bass playing, and retro-futuristic signature production to create a very personal and political work that particularly reflects the reality of her life as a Black female immigrant in America. "Lotus Glow represents the flower I've blossomed into, the artist I've worked on becoming all my life. The glow is where I am going next. It's my destiny." 

Adi has has toured globally, appearing with such artists as Lenny Kravitz, Masego, Anderson .Paak,  Thundercat, Gilles Peterson, Yasiin Bey and more, and has performed at  a wide variety of festivals including Newport Jazz Fest, Love Supreme, Central Park Summerstage, Afropunk, the Montreux Jazz Festival, Cross the Tracks, Funk on the Rocks (Red Rocks).

Slowly and steadily, Mike Bauer has been releasing well crafted songs and music videos for the last six years. Releasing his first EP while still in law school, he continues to grow and shape his sound.

Recently working and writing with the incredibly talented producer, Berg (The Decoders, Maejor), he has a genre-bending style that is all his own. Occasionally co-writing with the legendary Richard Rudolph, whose credits include Minnie Riperton, Earth, Wind & Fire, and Stevie Wonder, has only refined that style. So far, 2018 has brought the release of several new singles, including the haunting "I Am Her"; a collaboration with DNTST on the single "Stranger"; and, the soulful "The Truth About Happiness," which yielded a 2018 Hollywood Music and Media nomination for Best R&B/Soul/Funk. 

Noted for his distinctive voice and versatile writing, in 2014 he received the Hollywood Music and Media Award for Best Male Vocal Performance, and the Akademia Music Awards named “Sugar” the Best R&B Song of 2015. Additionally, Music Connection Magazine named him and his band one of their “Hot 100 Live Performers.”

MORTASAY is the musical duo, composed of married musicians Vonyse Reeder and Amy Lou Palmer.  The music reflects an eclectic indie electronic soul sound, or as Vonyse calls it Alter’d Native Soul.  We bang on things & squeak loudly.  More to come, enjoy!
