"Step Up" represents the underdog in a competitive environment. Representing a culture in a place that doesn't at all embrace it is something that is unique to our struggle. This song is about getting knocked down repeatedly and having both the courage and strength to get up, and keep fighting. "Step Up" is about taking control of our own destiny, paying our dues, and making the necessary sacrifices to win. This one is for people with a heart like a Shabazz Napier, and the determination of a Russell Wilson.

My biggest struggle as a producer has always been trying to accurately capture the concept / ideas that I hear in my head.
Learning more and more about orchestral arrangements and programming in a DAW sense, has allowed me to ever get closer. 
I decided to rearrange this piece as I have always felt that years ago when I had originally composed this, I lacked the musical maturity, technical expertise (mastering / mixing) or virtual instruments to capture accurately what I was hearing in my head.
