And spending life beneath the sea can feel like last days of school
There’s things you haven’t told yourself & I think that’s hurting too 
This not bout me, I prayed a lot that God, our father, cure you 
Representation of my efforts showed in notes & in books 
I knew I felt a way but aint really get knocked off by looks
I’m not that type of man, but man, you on that night made me look
Cascading & descending stairs, all black, it felt like the movies
You smiled & made me feel a king, and I felt touched by that smoothie
Nutrition never knew I needed, not no drugs or no doobies
