Filmmaker and anthropologist with speciality in Visual-Media #Anthropology, #mediahistory. I am an associate professor at Paris Nanterre Université, where I am the director of the master degree program "Documentary Cinema and Visual Anthropology". I received my PhD in anthropology at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, and I am working on the preservation of the video archives of the political collective Promedios (Mexico) and on noise pollution in Sápmi (Sweden). Re/Posting Field recordings and all kind of noises made by film, sound and video technologies.

BIO (for real)


In 1986 as part of a serial experiment, dschu was created in plant WW. HB-086. After initial experiences in the Atari Space Shuttle Simulator, he fired laserguns at Centipedes in a field of mushrooms for several years. Later on, dschu fought side by side with Miles Prower on planet Mobius to prevent Robotnik from gaining power over the chaos emeralds. After endless years of war he accompanied two Technics 1210 and a mixer to spread soulful music throughout the entire galaxy...
