Colombian-born, New York-raised producer and instrumentalist Felipe Quiroz aka Prince of Queens brings his unique synthesis of trans-caribbean culture with house and techno to RNT on his Merida EP. The American-born singer/dj/producer has been in Germany long enough now to understand the art of making an <em>"Ohrwurm"</em> (=earworm) - "Time To Waste" is one of those tunes that keeps resonating inside your head long after you've heard it. With its thumping beat, catchy vocals and roaring synthline, it's bound to set any dancefloor ablaze.

Although many believe "Time To Waste" is a love song, Jake actually wrote it for his friends:

Hot off the press comes a brand-new label from veteran of the scene Stefano Ritteri, showcasing his trademark love for obscure samples and synthesiser exploration. 
The title track is a sumptuous amalgamation of analogue synths, far-reaching, left-leaning samples and crisp-as-you-like drum programming. It’s weird and wonderful, enticing you deeper and deeper with every added element. From the wonky glitches, to the fuzzed out, Middle Eastern guitar and exotic vocals refrain. 
Take to the B side and you’re hit with a rhythmic workout combining modular electronics, sci-fi infused samples and intergalactic synth work. Rounding off the EP ‘It Isn’t About That’ is a downtempo beatsy number, laced with dubbed out effects and an introspective monologue about the merits of music as a medium of expression.
