Così Finisce Così Inizia

This album came to be in result of the challenge we set for us for the advent time of 2023. We set rules that we would produce and release a track and my partner Anna Repman would do a painting for this track. For 20 days we continue to release until we decided to abrupt it few days before Christmas. Resulting album turned out to cover a bunch of different genres, from ambient and soundscape to hip=hop beats and even breakcore.

All the tracks are available for use in content under Creative Commons BY 4.0 international. Safe to use in YouTube video - no automatic flags or content-id detections.

Fourth track of my future album 'Mimicked Notions'. The recordings on this album will all be live improvisations (some with more, some with less post-editing), so these songs are much more 'direct' than most of my other work. I'm looking for a label to release this album, so for now it's only available as stream on soundcloud.

Ivo São Bento is an exploratory sound artist and aural composer from Lisbon based in Styria.

By working preferably fully improvisational each performance by São Bento is solely focused on the respective present moment, resulting in a myriad of unique sonic outcomes and allowing for the creation of (and in) “complete natural flow” - the focal point of São Bentos work.

From sculpting vast and ever-evolving sonic spaces by multi-layering carefully tailored processed sounds, field recordings and electro acoustic elements to meticulously crafting simplistic musical blueprints with purposeful precision using old analogue machines - the work of the Portuguese electronic music veteran creates a variation of aural environments - pleasant, immersive and bright as well as dense, heavy, dissonant and unexpected channeling.

Under the moniker “VelgeNaturlig” he has released over 32 full-length records, some of which have been published through international major labels and has been performing both nationally and internationally, recently playing selected shows in the United States.
