Before the name Veltr!x meant anything to anyone, Cory Fletcher  was just a lost boy—drifting through the system, in and out of boys’ homes across Minnesota. No one asked why he kept running. No one asked what he was chasing. But he knew: it wasn’t escape. It was signal.
He’d lie awake in bunk beds with broken springs, staring at ceilings that never changed, replaying melodies in his head like prayers. Music was the only thing that didn’t abandon him. The only thing that didn’t punish him for feeling too much.

 The First Spark 
One night, in a group home far from Sauk Centre, Veltr!x found an old boom box buried in a closet under board games and broken promises. The tape deck was cracked. The volume knob spun without grip. But when he hit play—just once—it roared.
Static. Then bass. Then a voice that sounded like it had lived through fire.
That moment rewired him.
He wasn’t just surviving anymore. He was translating.
Every beat became a memory.
Every lyric, a scream he couldn’t voice.
Every mixtape he built was a map out of the dark.
He started recording over old tapes—layering his own voice, his own pain, his own pulse.
The boom box didn’t just play music.
It played him.

 The Belief That Built Him
Veltr!x didn’t become a producer to chase fame. He became one because he knew what it meant to be unheard.
He started saying it out loud:
