Echoing tales of where we come from.
In the shadows, dub beats rise and fall,
Like echoes of nature's ancient call.
A soundscape lush, where rhythms intertwine,
From the depths of the forest to the divine bassline.
The trunk's embrace, a grounding sound,
As branches stretch, our hearts unbound.
In techno's pulse, the earth's breath flows,
A meeting of worlds, where music grows.
So let us dance, as the trees unite,
In vibrant tones of day and night.
With every beat, we hear their plea,
In the dub of the forest, I spoke to the trees.

Bio/
German-based artist Christian Schmidt, aka Klordop.
Klordop is rooted in hypnotic minimal techno. His personal style is characterised by the rich atmospheric spectrum of electroacoustic sounds – unusual in electronic dance music – driven by irresistible grooves.
Expect wondrous journeys for the mind and the body, riding on infectious beats through intense psychedelic soundscapes. The work of the Hamburg-based artist has taken on epic proportions under various project names on his own label, Roo Rec. Today, his main projects are Klordop (dub minimal techno) and Segensklang (for ambient drone).

My next guest who brings some "Moments Of Light & Darkness" to the surface, is an artist, DJ and producer, who calls himself Center Of Light. @centeroflight
To introduce his mix he provided a small text: 
"It was meant to be a recovery day — quiet, healing. But the weight came back, heavier than before. Each time I stood, something pulled me down again. The hours blurred, full of silence, setbacks, and slow breaths.
Still, I kept trying — not out of hope, but habit. And somehow, in the end, I was on my feet. Not strong. Not whole. Just standing. And maybe, for today, that was enough." 

This unique selection, from mindfulness to ambient sections, developes further to minimal patterns and comes with deepness.

I don't know, if this album title is related to the fact, that the upper world is a term from some shamanistic traditions, which is meant as a place of wisdom, love, healing and compassion. It is a place where we can get a bigger perspective on hurt and tuff experiences. ..we hurt and get hurt. and hurt others as well. thats life. but we learn through that. no matter what.

Biography: 
I'm a Venice based producer who focuses on dub techno sounds with bass lines borrowed from techno and deep house, with the final aim to build a “melting Electronic”: sometimes hypnotic, sometimes raw, sometimes groovy. My releases are available by different labels: ECOUL SND, Techenie, Liberty Rhythm, velvetdubcollective, [Superordinate Dub Waves], [Crossfade Sounds] and [PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB].

We really had such a wonderful time on 24th Aug 2025 when we were testing the headphone set-up for the MLD goes silent sessions, what turned out as a first edition of Elektrik Café Berlin, together with our collaborator Gijs Gruijters, playing a wonderful modular set under his artist moniker SHIFTY, together with He Ling and Bian Bian from China and also a set from Sai, what you can listen here now 

Everything was glued together smoothly and the sound with the bluetooth connection is really great! The whole concept builds a wonderful atmosphere with the gloomy headphones while sitting inside, diving into the music and the venue, also with video art installations... or sitting outside in fresh air, watching people passing by and inviting them to join. A big thanks also to Krumm & Schief Café at Prenzl Berg, who lent us their nice venue as the perfect location for this project. Liuos seemed to arrive on the dub techno scene all at once with Terms EP, his strong debut on Cold Tear Records, but this was the culmination of two decades of experimentation and discipline. A unique mix of power and spaciousness, of both longing and will, Liuos’ work stands out for its clarity and expansiveness. Working steadily from his modest studio in Finland, Liuos has quietly become a respected name in the world of dub techno, with releases on Cold Tear Records, Superordinate Dub Waves and Piranha Siberia Dub.
