I am a UK-based electronic music producer pushing the boundaries of rave, oldskool, and breakbeat culture. Drawing deep inspiration from the golden era of 90s underground dance music, my sound is a high-octane blend of fat kicks, raw breaks, heavy basslines, and nostalgic euphoria. 

I've carved a niche as a modern revivalist of classic UK rave energy. My music captures the essence of warehouse culture—gritty, emotional, and fiercely rhythmic—while using modern production techniques to deliver a fresh yet familiar sound. Whether it’s a rush of jungle drums or acid-tinged synths, I create tracks that resonate with both veteran ravers and a new generation of bass lovers.

I've got a deep knowledge of rave history, which brings that authenticity to every beat. With an ever-growing catalog and a strong presence in the digital underground, I aim to contribute towards the ever evolving landscape of break-driven electronic music.

I was heavily influenced in my teens by '90s oldskool rave and have been a sucker for a good piano line ever since. That passion evolved into a love for techno, leading me to DJ at countless free parties and illegal raves across the South East of the UK, playing on some of the region’s most iconic underground sound systems.

After stepping away from DJing for a number of years, I returned to music with a fresh focus—producing my own tracks. Since then, my productions have gained international recognition, with support from the likes of Carl Cox, Ricardo Villalobos, Floating Points, and others across the global electronic scene.

Co-owner of Anomaly Digital Recordings, Kranky lives and breathes breakbeat, both as a DJ and Producer. From Old Skool Hardcore, Jungle and Drum n Bass, through to Nu Skool Breaks, Future Jungle and Dubstep, expect nothing less than a flurry of the baddest broken beats, low frequencies, heavy basslines, samples & scratching. First introduced to the sounds of Old Skool Hardcore and Jungle Tekno on mixtapes and raves in 1992, some of Kranky’s earliest electronic music influences were DJs such as Angus, Thief, Jen-E, DJ Hype, Easygroove, Tango & Ratty, Carl Cox, Slipmatt, Krome & Time, Ratpack and the Prodigy.

Ridney has released music with the biggest dance labels; including Defected, Toolroom, Armada, Newstate, Perfecto, Ministry of Sound, Nervous, Size & Spinnin. 

Known for his regular DJ appearances on tour with Cafe Mambo and at their spiritual home on the sunset strip of Ibiza, his music has also been featured on ITV's "Love Island" & various Netflix shows.

His remix of Flo-rida ft. David Guetta "Club Can't Handle Me" featured as part of the official UK No.1 single package.

The label was established in 2018 as a means to release the back catalogue of renowned Jungle Techno label Underdog Recordings, which ran from 1993-1995. It quickly expanded from beyond the original goal and now reissues sought after, rare and classic records from the Jungle, Rave, Bleep House, Techno and Jungle Techno genres.

The Vinyl Fanatiks aim is to track down and work with the original artists from the early 1990’s, to reissue their music on vinyl only, and to support the record hunters and vinyl diggers from around the world with quality pressings and superb mastering; a way to show respect and share the story of those that created these incredible records.

The vision is not to focus on the obvious artists of that time but to dig a little deeper and find those that came and went but their legacy still holds true to this day. Some of these producers only released one record and vanished soon after but their music still resonates into the 21st century, accumulating new audiences across the globe, far beyond the catchment of the UK pirate radios and muddy fields of 25 years ago. What happened to these artists? Its Vinyl Fanatik’s mission to find out!

Each record captures a moment in time, a vibe that was true and innocent from a period when music was far more synonymous with rebellion and anarchy than today’s finely polished productions and conformist club pop. This music itself bred on the outskirts of society, fuelled by the passion of the rave, its lineage stemming from the Acid House era of 1988. Often produced on minimal equipment, with minimal skills and knowledge, its audio blueprint transcends to new generations, a rawness that no expensive audio plug in could ever create in this present day.

Vinyl Fanatiks wants to pay homage to these young producers who forged the foundations of the multi-million pound EDM scene we have now. Each of these artists has their own tale to tell, their own memories to share. Limited by their own geographical status within the UK, they somehow still all managed to connect and influence each other, years before the internet, mobile phones and social media that we have today. But the music knew no limits and had no boundaries, transcending generations to this day.
