Welcome to Oatcast! 

We’re Niamh & Helen, two queer lady best friends.  This is a feminist podcast with a comedic, tongue-in-cheek attitude. Listen as we walk you through the trials and tribulations of modern life as queer ladies living in Belfast. 

We talk about everything from life as introverts, unwanted attention and coming out. We think about how our modern feminist identity exists in the North of Ireland as we suffer through dinosaur politicians who can’t seem to get their act together.

Right up front, we talk a lot of sh*t. But it’s good sh*t, feminist sh*t, authentic and maybe even a little bit funny sh*t from time to time.

John D’Arcy is an artist from Lisburn, Northern Ireland.   His work explores the relationships between voice, text and place in radio, installation and live performance settings.  He is currently based at the Sonic Arts Research Centre, Queen's University Belfast.
