GBA 241 Vera Chok

First release from genre-warping new live UK hip-hop supergroup FUR.

From ethio-jazz to mbalax, soul and more. 


Taking the best elements of British Hip-Hop, such as conscious lyrics and the role of the anti-hero, and reinvigorating them with a live band who bring the energy, spontaneity and crate-digging adventurousness that only a live band of Hip-Hop heads can.

When taking a break from tea-making and crate-raiding FUR have been tearing up the festival circuit and all the best spots in London. 
FUR's post Dilla take on Hip Hop fuses the best of British with influences from West African musical traditions. Having torn up the festival circuit in 2011, the tired accolade of 'ones to watch' doesn't quite convey the electric energy they bring to the stage.
