Following last summer's sleeper hit "Junebug" and a classy EP on Steve Bug's Dessous label, deep house legend Vincenzo makes a exciting return to Anjunadeep with his "No Strings Attached EP". Comprised of three gorgeous, melodic instrumentals, it's a fine showcase of the distinctive sound that has established Vincenzo as one of house music's most respected producers.

Title track "No Strings Attached" is a slow burning gem, ebbing and flowing throughout its nine minute journey as deep bass grooves through washing piano melodies and distant vocal snippets. A beautiful end-of-night anthem. 

"Sorrento" delicately channels jazz influences, fusing drifting chords with chugging percussion in a dancefloor ready slice of old school deep house. 

Rounding off the EP is a collaboration with Voyeurhythm's Tyson Ballard, "Quiet Beauty". The most energetic track on the EP, it bounces playful melodies off an infectious groove in amongst summery atmospherics. 

Three tracks that tease what is to come in Vincenzo's fourth artist album - to be released on Anjunadeep later this year...

Vincenzo - No Strings Attached

For issue #49 of the Moon Harbour Radio Show, Dan Drastic invited the newest member of the Moon Harbour family: Re.You. Marius Maier aka Re.You usually releases tracks on labels like Mobilee and Souvenir. His ‘Don’t Stop EP’ was just released and already is a great success. 

In the first part of the show Dan Drastic plays tracks by Maximilljan, Alex Niggeman, Steve Bug, Luna City Express and Mr. V amongst others.

Yet again we welcome a DJ back to the stage for Avenue Red Podcast 41, this time with a blinding mix from Verdant Recordings (real name Andy Green) from the much maligned Stevenage near London, an old hotbed of good times from the halycon days of electronic music. This is his second contribution to Avenue Red, following on from his Avenue Red 1210 Mk4 mix, strictly for the connoisseurs (link below).

Andy's Verdant Sessions shows on Timeline-Music.net are a great place to discover exciting new releases mixed with old, forgotten gems from his collection and this mix provides a great summary of the kind of music he is focussed on with that project. Andy has also co-founded a new music group and party called Transition along with Stephen Sherdel, Leigh Dickson & Rick Hopkins with a mission to play out "Intergalactic Funk". He's also 1/3 of the SUNK collective, another London night of quality House and Techno.

"Not sure I really wanted to achieve anything specific for this Avenue Red mix other than compile 80 minutes of quality tunage to enjoy. A clutch of new records (new Stojche is a beauty), some old house references and perhaps one or two inevitable represses that filled a space in my collection. Deep House, deep Techno, dub inflections... the usual VR vibes."
