For this next Avenue Red Podcast episode we welcome Nanni Bottura (real name Giovanni Bottura), a refined crate-digging DJ and music enthusiast from the beautiful, vibrant Italian capital city of Rome. Here Giovanni has delivered us a lengthy almost 2.5-hour journey through a diverse mixture of records from his intriguing collection.

Expect all kinds of sounds from tech-edged house and 4/4 dubby techno oddities through to razor-sharp, electrifying breaks and ravey sounds. It's a really interesting mix bursting with energy, as Giovanni showcases his supreme taste and his raw talent on the decks.

"First of all I want to thank Alec for this opportunity. The DJ set was recorded during lockdown in Italy, where I am currently living. In that time more than any other thing, music was my happy refuge, my personal escape from reality. During that long period as the world stopped, I dug very deeply into different musical genres and the journey that you are about to listen to is one of the results of this research. Welcome to the 304th Chapter of the Deep Electronics serie. A weekly released serie that brings you a diversity into the abyss of deep electronic music. This week D_Fected makes is debut with a nice DnB set.

Bio:
The love and passion for electronic music base his musical taste
between house - minimalism and techno, with great influence on British
big beat and rock from the late 90s.
Part of the electronic music scene in the coffee axis - Colombia with-no
desire to star, being defined as an interesting and restless musical
selector since 2006.
He has created collectives such as Pereirastyle 2006 - Underground
beats 2007 - Bass factory 2011 and currently Ataraxis since 2017.
Promoter of an alternative growing scene since 2004 in Pereira city
and his hometown Santa Rosa de Cabal, opened to listen the
underground sounds of the time and today are reflected in
a strengthened scene with musical diversity.

D_fected - Deep Electronics Podcast:
This mix reflects a duality from the tranquility and pride of a literature
nobel over an expectant ambient sound, to the harsh reality of
moments that mark the history of a country in the frenetic DnB and
Jungle rhythm close. Includes music by Colombian producers

// Can you introduce yourself briefly to our listeners?
Hey there. My name is Mihail Petrovski, and I release under the name of Mihail P. I mostly move around 2 genres: techno & house and only recently I have emerged into breaks & dnb. So far I have released on Distant Worlds (@distantworldtransmissions), Ferox, Verdant (@verdant-recordings), Seventh Sign (@7th-sign-recordings), Magnonic Signals (@user-762868445), Nebulae (@nebulaerecords), Propersound (@propersoundrecords) & Where We Met (@wherewemet) and I also self-released a bandcamp album recently called Soundtrack To A Better Place.
