Verna Hark are a three piece synth-pop band based between Oxford and Helsinki.

Monkey Loves Joe was originally formed in 95 in Hull. Nik Weir , Nick Lyon , Christian (Fisher) McKee , Paul Ward were the original line up. All music and lyrics written by Nik Weir. Guitar , Piano , Synths , Vocals and Drum programming by Nik Weir.
The majority of the music on here is improvised and recorded in one take as improvising has become the way I write my music now .
