Celebrating 50 years since the landmark recording of Stan Getz and Charlie Byrds "Jazz Samba", world-jazz band Veronneau follow up their highly acclaimed 2011 debut CD with the bossa nova inspired "Jazz Samba Project", winner of the Washington Area Music WAMMIE Award for Best Jazz Recording of the Year. 

Veronneau's first album "Joie de Vivre" took their brand of gypsy swing, bossa and jazz sung in 4 languages, around the world and into the charts. Reaching number 9 on Jazzweeks World Music chart, the band toured in the US, Canada and the UK, performing live on the BBC. 

"Jazz Samba Project" puts the fabulous vocals of Lynn Veronneau and the nylon string acoustic guitars of Ken Avis and David Rosenblatt to great use on the classic songs of bossa nova and their own bossa interpretations of contemporary songs such as Waiting in Vain.
