Exclusive Nandu 'Straight To The Point'

Busy creative head Rasmus Jensen returns to Scatcity with  'Child Of A Child'. After taking on responsibility for the label's second installment 'The Light' in 2017 the Copenhagener, who's had releases on Exit Strategy or AZZUR meanwhile, gives birth to three orginal dance floor compatible takes and is provied with a remix for the EP's eponymous track by Santiago Garcia. The B1'Straight To The Point' captures Nandu's preference for deeper sound aesthetics, something the artist has brought to perfection whilst defining his trademark sound. A forcefull bass line sets the groove – a groove that is enriched with arps that change their tonality in the course of the track and consequently support the the overall groove and soundscapes. 'Straight To The Point' basically just does what the track title suggests and manages to go without frills – a decent groove, a lush bass line and slightly changing chords is enough to take over the dance floor.

Nandu's EP 'Child Of A Child' is released on Scatcity on September 13th, 2019.

Just like the name suggests the mix of the two tracks into one, 'Alterwinds' brings two compostions that even they are completely different, you could perfectly mix one into the other as both tracks are part of a time where Bookwood tried out different moods, tempos and sometimes even more experimental sounds. The EP is an intense and involving mix of feelings - if, on the one hand, the melancholic and nostalgic melodies can lead you to an introspective feeling, on the other, warm beats and basses are always there to push you up, providing a harmonious mental and spiritual balance. Closing the EP, Marabu's 'Chamberwinds' remix brings a completely different read with the addition of several new elements and drums variations that goes way off the obvious, but still, the nostalgic atmosphere remains.
