M.Y.R.A. is a Dutch Techno DJ and Producer with pure passion and an ever-evolving taste for electronic music. Her focus is 
up-tempo energetic groovy rhythms, hard hitting percussions, and hypnotic atmospheres with a dark touch that really dives deep. The grooves, buildups and relentless releases of energy delivers satisfaction on every present entity.
Coming from a musical family, MYRA has played piano since a young age. As a teenager she discovered electronic music 
and over the years she has collected a carefully chosen vinyl and digital selection, and since then she has felt inextricably 
connected to the scene. Soon after she got into producing music and released her first tracks, started to play at appreciated
clubs like Doornroosje and club BASIS and met many like-minded people along her musical road.
MYRA recently graduated from the Electronic Music Academy at the conservatory of Amsterdam and has many exciting gigs and releases coming up in the near future.

Listen here to the fifth hour of my 10h set that I played for my birthday in 2014 at the legendary Output Club in Brooklyn. 

How I miss DJing in clubs, in front of all of you and how I miss Output Club and those special all night long nights that I usually did in December around my birthday. This set, which you will get hour by hour on a weekly basis now here on AMFM was one of the longer ones. Output had a very strict no picture policy, so there is no footage from inside the club, I only found one blurry picture from my birthday cake. I started at 11 pm as far as I remember and according to my recording I ended at 9 in the morning. Output was such a special place with an amazing sound system and DJ booth, it was always such a pleasure playing there. You always take things for granted as long as you have them. Output Club had to close down end of 2018. I was very sad then and somehow I am even more now, as these days seem so long ago and I have no idea when I get to do something similar again in NYC. I miss it. I miss the city and its people. I have always had a great relationship with NYC since I started to play there in the late 90’s for the legendary Monday nights at Sullivan Bar, organised by @christiansmith. Time goes by so fast, if we don’t learn to appreciate the moment more, it will all just become a faint memory. Stay healthy everyone and I really hope I will get to see you all on some dancefloor again. DECENNIUM21 - The Advent (Kombination Research, MORD)

We are proud to announce the next edition of our DECENNIUM series, which comes courtesy of one of the most highly esteemed and influential Techno and Electro legends of our time; none other than our good friend and returning guest, Cisco Ferreira aka The Advent (Kombination Research, MORD).

Cisco has been at the forefront of the scene since the early 90's. Fresh out of college, Cisco’s hunger for sound landed him a job as assistant sound-engineer in several recording studios. When acid label ‘Jack Trax’ moved in next-door, Cisco started recording for the likes of Adonis, Fingers Inc, Marshall Jefferson, and Derrick May. These rendezvous sparked the inspiration for his first EPs on R&S and Fragile.

In 1994 Cisco signed a record deal for 12 EPs and 3 albums together with Colin McBean. This was the beginning of an era during which the duo set a worldwide standard for high quality underground Electro and Techno. They hit the world with a refreshing sound, both as The Advent, and ‘G Flame (Cisco) and Mr G’, the alias Colin is still using. Nowadays The Advent is a solo project, bombarding crowds around the world with it's trademark raw, energetic sound. A sound that grants him yearly slots at festivals as Nature One, Awakenings and Bonusz, as well as regular shows in clubs such as Berghain and Tresor. The list of releases is huge and ever-growing through some of the most heavyweight labels around, as well as via his own imprint Kombination Research.

After being huge fans of The Advent for many years, in 2019 we were finally able to relish the opportunity to book him to play a live set as part of our collaboration event with CPU Records at FOLD, amongst a lineup that included E.R.P. aka Convextion, Plant43, 96 Back, CPSmith and our residents Annie Hall, Kodah and Osc Kins. His set went down as one of the best live sets we have ever had the pleasure of witnessing and we were proud that this was produced at one of our events and heard by a packed venue on one of best club sound systems in the UK. Cisco has since returned to the Natural Selection front line last year at our 10-year milestone live stream at FOLD, where he was joined by The Fear Ratio (SKAM), 96 Back, Tasha b2b Voicedrone and more.

We feel Cisco has played a big part for Natural Selection over the last couple of years and we are eternally grateful for his support and enthusiasm for what we do. We are ecstatic to have such a titan on our DECENNIUM series with this exclusive set, as lethal as it gets.
