The process of working on the album "Jurnal Apokalips" by
Vertical Abuse took quite a long time and involved several
stages, such as making riffing patterns, filling & picking guitars,
mapping song charts, setting tempo, making lyrics, guiding,
tracking, editing, re-amping, mixing & mastering. They also
teamed up with Luke Heartwork. The recording and recording
process was carried out within 2 weeks and the recording was
carried out at Rebuilt 40124 Bandung & SS62 for re-amping.

Their song arrangements try to be dynamic by avoiding
excessive repetition of song charts and compositional patterns.
Their musical and sound references are Integrity, Converge,
Slayer, Bolt Thrower, Harm's Way, Entombed, Gojira,
Machine Head, Obituary etc. Vertical Abuse tries to present a
new reference to hardcore music that is more "versatile",
aggressive and definitely more "heavy" apart from the
essential musical component of hardcore itself.

Vertical Abuse was formed in 2020 and currently consists of
Andy La Jhon (vocals), Reza Septian (guitar), Anggara Pandu
(bass), Oktav Mutter (drums), Reza Pratama (guitar). The
name Vertical Abuse is defined as abuse based on power that
is cornering or not
wise. They think that this band is a resistance to all forms of
unfair power.
