Rob Gourley explores two distinct but complementary territories. Night Cinema excavates cinematic atmospheres, chopping French film dialogue, soul samples, and noir orchestration into trip-hop that sounds like surveillance footage left running in empty European hotels. His debut EP "Ciné Mort" is five pieces of beautiful decay: melancholic, shadowy, haunted by forgotten reels.

Slow Carrier moves into more patient terrain, where modular synth patches unfold without urgency. Here, Gourley designs slowly evolving soundscapes—textural, ambient, meditative. Where Night Cinema samples the past, Slow Carrier generates the present moment.
Both projects share an exploratory ethos: prioritizing atmosphere, embracing analog imperfection, and letting sounds breathe. One digs through archives, the other builds from voltage. Together, they map the space between memory and transmission.

The nucleus of NE!N are Stuart and Emma.
Both have a long and varied history within the music industry and they
joined forces to form NE!N in 2023.

Stuart also makes music with Splintered and The Fields of Hay.

NE!N make and play psychedelic industrial music, utilising hypnotic electronic rhythms, pulsating basslines, static glitches and sci-fi analogue synth abuse, combined with a vocal style of contrasting melodic poetry and raw guttural grit.
All these elements are infused into a raw and ravaged flotsam and jetsam of sounds. 

The results of this latest project are now ready to ooze into the cosmos.
