Explore the voices of polyphony.

These extracts are taken from interviews with 32 people across England. Verity Standen and a group of fellow artist-interviewers gathered recordings from people in Bristol, Liverpool, London, Middlesbrough, Stoke-on-Trent, Cumbria and Somerset.

People were invited to reflect on their voices, and each conversation followed its own path. Verity and co-composer Yas Clarke have layered and spliced these recordings into a rich auditory tapestry, which audiences can experience in person at Mayfest 2022 Bristol (6-29 May). https://www.mayk.org.uk/mayfest-programme/#group/polyphony-world-premiere
