Breakbeat & Liquid D&B producer based in London

The humble roots of Vessel can be traced back to a parking lot jam at an open mic on Vancouver Island. In that chance meeting Sperlin Jansz (local Coffeeshop owner) and Jonathan Hinds (Fiftieth Parallel) combined voice and acoustic guitar to write the first song for what would later become Vessel.

In summer 2013 Vessel became a trio. Now consisting of Jansz, Hinds and Phil Marchand (also of Fiftieth Parallel) the sound took a turn and began exploring more complex musical soundscapes.

After numerous well-received performances on the Gulf Island festival circuit Vessel expanded again to include bass guitarist Alec Swan and drummer Gerry Crevier, now becoming a five-piece.

This new rhythm section builds a groovy funk foundation under the intricate guitar work of Hinds and Marchand and the soulful urban-esque vocals of Jansz.
