Miku Yonezawa Bio:

Born in Asahikawa City, Hokkaido, Miku started playing the tenor saxophone at the age of 8, and joined a big band at the age of 11. 
Debuted in 2016 with “Amusement”. Her 3rd album was the number one bestseller in the jazz category on Amazon Japan for 28 days, and was the top album on the iTunes Store Jazz. 

Next came the jazz ballad album "Dawning Blue" released in January 2019 set a record by being number one on the Amazon chart for 93 days. In May 2019, she made her major debut with “Exotic Gravity” from King Records. “Dawning Blue” and “Exotic Gravity” won Album Of The Year in the 2019 JAZZ JAPAN AWARD New Star category.  She is also part of the hugely popular band, The Jazz Avengers.

Dr Packer is an alias of West Australian DJ/Producer 'Greg Packer' set up for Remixes & Edits of mainly retro music such as 70's , 80's , 90's Soul , Disco , Funk , Hip Hop & Reggae , Greg although known more for 'Liquid Drum & Bass' regularly plays sets of 'Old School Funk , Disco , Hip Hop Etc' purchasing his first record in 1982 at the age of 10 'Grandmaster Flash - The Message' whilst still living in the UK (Northampton England) greg grew up listening to his mothers disco records (had no choice really) as a child in the 70's it wasn't uncommon to hear music such as 'Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now' or 'And The Beat Goes On' played in the house so the disco thing really was his first introduction to music , records became his life and has collected approx 25,000 over the years...

Labels Such as 'Defected , Glitterbox , Z Records , Masterworks , Disco Dat , Hot Digits & Midnight Riot' have all shown plenty of love for the doctor and most recently 'Salsoul' records have requested 2 EP's to be be released officially so things wont be slowing down anytime soon... Tokyo Groove Jyoshi Bio:

TOKYO GROOVE JYOSHI is a female groove band formed in 2018 in Tokyo by three Japanese session musicians, Emi Kanazashi (keyboard,vo), Juna Serita (bass.vo) and Yuriko Seki (drums,cho).

Their producer got opportunity to live in NY for eight years in 1980s and 2010s, and he went to around 500 music live concerts. Especially in late 80s, he experienced creative music beyond genres, and he fell in love with groove music. As Duke Ellington said, “There are simply two kinds of music, good music and the other kind”, he strives to produce TOKYO GROOVE JYOSHI as a powerful groove band with music beyond the generations, genders, and genres. 

They mainly perform at various music festivals and solo live concerts. Most of the time, they get fully occupied. Since the band is formed, they have been collaborating with other musicians also. 

They made  music videos and the  video “WHAT IS HIP?” became huge hit (over total 3000000hit) particularly outside of Japan. In February of 2020, they went to NY and performed at live music clubs such as THE BITTER END, SHRINE, Suger, GROOVE, cafe Wha?… Famous music producer Ray Angry invited them for those live performances, and they played almost every nights. The audience were so welcoming and warm. They’ve been playing cover songs mainly, and finally they have started making original songs from July 2020. 

Juna & Yuriko graduated from TOKYO GROOVE JYOSHI. (July & Sep/2020) They will focus on their individual project, but that will be their special support artist. New bass player Rina Hoshino & New drummer MiMi joined TOKYO GROOVE JYOSHI. They did recording the  original songs in Aug/Sep 2020. And released single in Sep & EP album in Nov of 2020. Single “HOT SUMMER” is ranked in the 1st in R&B/Soul in iTunes Store(Turkey).EP “TOKYO GROOVE” is ranked in the 8th in R&B/Soul in iTunes Store(Japan).　

After that, the activity was restricted due to the influence of the
global covid-19, but it is actively developing live streaming, limited
live, YouTube program production, music production, recording, single/ EP release.
Over 30,000 YouTube subscribers in Feb/2022.
The new songs “Rise Up” and “FOXY” will be released as singles in
Sep&Nov/2021, and the New single&EP will be released digitally in February & March/2022.

Fizzikx aka Joe Kirk born in the north east Teeside town Stockton On Tees in 1996 & has been based in the rural countryside of South Yorkshire since 2002. He began playing guitar & bass at the tender age of 13. At 17 years old Fizzikx took an interest in music production & playing keyboard. The Fizzikx name was established back in 2015 originally started out as a duo then not long after that it later became a solo project. His productions are mixed all different flavours of House Music such as the Deep, Soulful, Afro, Garage & Disco influenced sounds, He also produces Jazz, Hip Hop, Broken Beat & Neo Soul. He is mainly focusing on the Soulful, Afro, Jazz influences of house.

Fizzikx has released tracks & remixes on labels such as King Street Sounds, Nite Grooves, totheRock, Makin Moves, Purple Music, Plastik People, Phoenix Music , Closer To Truth, Pogo House & so many more. OPOLOPO BIO:

Opolopo DJ:s from London to Tokyo. His sets span from funk, boogie and soul to various shades of house. From sweaty, stripped down and dirty, to uplifting and lush. All unified by his worship of The Groove.

Born in Hungary and raised in Sweden, he spent the early part of his creative development tagging along with a touring keyboardist father and listening to fusion and electronic records. Artists like Herbie Hancock, Jeff Lorber, Earth Wind & Fire, Quincy Jones, Jean-Michel Jarre, Isao Tomita, and Kraftwerk

helped feed his ingenuity. The likes of George Clinton, Bootsy and General Caine infected him for life with the funk virus.

His music spans over two decades on labels such as Local Talk, JVC Japan, Z Records, Toolroom, Warner Brothers, Tru Thoughts, Sony/BMG, Defected and Especial Records. Ariane Mamon Bio:

Ariane Mamon is a French-American jazz vocalist, composer, and performance artist based in Glasgow (UK), whose music is highly influenced by Esperanza Spalding and Björk. 
Born in Paris, but then later moved to Boston to study jazz vocals at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Mamon has fused her mastery of the voice and skill for improvisation and composition, in creating unique ethereal and electrifying wordless jazz compositions, where she extends her voice as a melodic instrument. 
Her music has been featured on Jazz FM, Soho Radio, and BBC Radio Scotland, and on the 2022 jazzahead! “Scottish Jazz Playlist”. She was short-listed for the 2022 Peter Whittingham Jazz Award, and in 2023, she’s been working alongside Nimbus Sextet with performances at Ronnie Scott’s, Glasgow Jazz Festival, and the Edinburgh Fringe.
Her love for jazz composition, classical music, and Brazilian music, in particular the music of Pat Metheny, Jean Sibelius, and Milton Nascimento reflect in her compositional style and process, and are also deeply linked to her spirituality and connection to the Earth.

michiyo Bio:

At the age of 12, Michiyo Kitagawa joined a brass band and fell in love with tenor saxophone at first sight. She studied under Mr. Yoshiyuki Hattori, an instructor at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.　She has participated in many contests and won many awards for her classical saxophone quartetto.

After graduating from Nagoya YAMAHA music academy, michiyo started to teach electone and piano as an instructor at YAMAHA, but quit after one year because her passion for saxophone was too strong. michiyo then moved from Nagoya to Tokyo to pursue saxophone as a full-fledged career.

While learning jazz performance and theory, she began performing live in Shibuya with Grover Washington Jr. cover songs and her own original compositions. Joined the band 'Dad mom god' with members of Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, Shinji Takeda, Silver, etc., and participated in club gigs and recordings.

1996 Guest appearance on TV Tokyo's "Tamori's Music is the World" with Dulfer {candy dulfer's father}.
michiyo has toured and recorded with many of Japan's leading singers, including Hiromi Go, Ken Hirai, Mitsuhiro Oikawa, Kiyotaka Sugiyama, and Mai Kuraki and many others.

Rachel Duns Bio:

The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s jazz course graduate Rachel Duns formed her eponymous quintet in 2021 for a debut gig at Edinburgh’s Traverse Theatre. Since then, Duns has taken her band across Scotland playing various venues and jazz festivals. 

Duns quickly made a name for herself after being named 2021’s ‘Rising Star’ at the Scottish Jazz Awards; supporting Buster Williams in Glasgow and being included in The List Magazine’s 2022 ‘Hot 100’. Joined by her bandmates, she has amassed an album's worth of her original compositions, pulling together influences from jazz, neo-soul, blues and psychedelic rock.

'Best Served Chilled' is the second release from Scottish Jazz Award winning Rising Star, Rachel Duns. A jazz inspired, psychedelic drum and bass track with a headbanging riff, ethereal vocals and electric drum feature from rising star Kenny Lyons.

The dreamy, almost meaningless lyrics create an atmosphere of carefreeness which is juxtaposed by the track’s building intensity, culminating in an urgent tenor sax solo.

The album has been produced in collaboration with Ben Lamdin (Nostalgia 77) and the psychedelic, dub aesthetic of the production enhances and deepens the atmosphere of the record. This is joyous, life affirming music. Deceptively simple, deeply melodic with a healthy dose of the other worldly.

James Allsopp Bio:

In a 20 year career James Allsopp has been a featured performer and recording artist for an incredibly diverse range of musicians. James has played in concert and on albums by legendary artists such as The Last Poets, David Axelrod, Dr John and Mulatu Astake, for European jazz luminaries such as Django Bates, Nostalgia 77, Kit Downes and Polar Bear, on more commercial albums by Jamie Cullum and Jorja Smith and as featured soloist in a wide range of compositions by composer Brian Irvine. James’s debut album was nominated for BBC Jazz Award for Best Album 2007 and he won the BBC Jazz Award for Innovation 2008.

Glasgow based jazz-fusion group led by saxophonist Josie Girgis, ‘C.A.L.I.E,’ is an exciting collective of exceptional musicians. A band dedicated to exploring a vast range of genres in exceedingly ambitious ways; C.A.L.I.E treats its audiences to fusions of jazz, nu-metal, prog, funk, hip-hop and neo-soul (to name a few genres!) C.A.L.I.E provides its audiences with truly eclectic set of music.

The bandleader, Josie Girgis is an English saxophonist settled in Glasgow. She graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2021 and now works as a professional saxophonist specialising in jazz. She has travelled throughout Scotland and the UK, performing with bands such as the Marianne McGregor Quintet, James Brown is Annie, The Tomorrow Band, the Kyle Irwin Quintet and her own jazz duo, Double Take – Jazz Duo. 

 Josie composes music that is heavily influenced by her love of fusion and her eclectic music tastes.  With her audiences in mind, she writes music with clear intention. Music that arouses all kinds of emotions: triumph, anger, desperation, kindness, love and sometimes… just for the sake of cool music! C.A.L.I.E has it all.
