He had just been killed when I wrote this. The world went quiet in a way I can’t describe, so I did the only thing I know how to do I wrote. It’s how I breathe when the pain’s too loud, how I turn loss into motion.

“Ride with Me” isn’t just a song. It’s a release, a prayer on four wheels, a conversation I wasn’t ready to end. I could still see him there passenger seat, grin in the glow of streetlights, music up, hand tapping the dash like always. Writing this was my way of keeping him close, of turning the grief into something that moved instead of drowning me.
