Testing out the sound on my new Aston Origin mic! Hallelujah is one of my favorite songs to sing and I came up with 4 voices and a piano accompaniment, and only played the first verse & chorus. WIP and I'd like to revisit and re-record most of the vocals to make the harmonies cleaner and also finish out the rest of the verses

Hallelujah Harmonies

Delicious baked sweet potato. Some salt. Some butta. Some creamy orange layers of polyrhythms and delay. 

Tracks made mostly using Sylenth1 on Ableton. Now with a funky bass groove and a solo on Todd's Massive Organ. 

Headphones recommended to fully experience the sprinkles of hi hat salt on the sweet potato.

Baked Sweet Potato

Latin inspired vibin'. A bop for a summer evening. Moog bass carries the groove with some nice ear candy layers soaked in delay in the background.

As always, headphones recommended.

Updated 9/11/21: Reworked the drums entirely using a combo of a Latin percussion pack and some of the previous Synthwave drum samples (namely kick, snare, and toms). The bongos give it much more dimension, and I also played with the Auto Pan to make them flit back and forth between left & right for some nice ear candy.

Made using Ableton, and presets are mostly Sylenth1 played on my Arturia Keystep 37 and Launchpad X.
Thickened up the factory Moog a little bit with some Sine voices on Oscillator A2, and automated filter cutoff and resonance for twanginess depending on the bassline. Sylenth1's "Key Starchild 1" (factory bank 2) carries the lead solo and rhythm. I love the sound on that preset and its versatility - it can sound reminiscent of a trumpet or mellow out a lot with a small adjustment of the cutoff. Still using some synthwave pack for drums because I'm lazy and it still vibes. My boi Wavey Jones (my name for the white noise sweepers) rides around to fill out the background; I tried to keep it fairly quiet but might still be a little intrusive/obvious at times. 

I'm thinking about adding another instrument or solo towards the end, or maybe even expanding the whole track out with some vocals if I find the inspiration and lyrics. So will possibly come back to it but I'm digging the vibes for now

Weaving With Moonlight

To me, the song evokes a wistful sadness with a touch of hope or tranquility, and I wrote it while contemplating the impermanent and relatively ephemeral nature of life; Be it our own short time on Earth, that of our loved ones, pets, the ephemeral nature of relationships and friendships, and our time in certain places or even the things we possess. They all come and go as life and time flows, and to me this song cherishes those fleeting moments and watches them flow on.

This is my first full piano track, played on my new Arturia Keylab 88 Mk II and using the German Classical Piano sound on Analog Lab V. I started the beginnings of the melody playing on a grand piano in the most beautiful villa in Tuscany.

Note: I left the left hand a bit basic as it repeats the same pattern throughout, mostly due to my own ability to play both parts accurately when recording. Somebody pointed out that it sounds like a consistent backbone in the song to symbolize the constant flow of life/time and I like that interpretation haha

Note II: There seems to be a bug on Analog Lab V that causes a click when a sound is cut short, most noticeable when the chord progression changes
