His debut album 'Heliocentric' is out on Klamauk and he serves up a mix starting with a nod to Coldcut and weaving through music from Mtume, The Roots, Kyle Hall, Greg Beato and Glenn Astro on the remix for Roman Rauch. He told us;
"Here's a little mix I've done for Solid Steel going through some new bits and some all time favorites of mine recorded on 2 Technics, 2 cdjs and a Rane mixer.  Feeling very honoured for being asked to record a mix for them, since i spent quite a part of my youth recording their weekly shows to tape. William Earl, one third of Let’s Go Swimming, heads up our third release with “Young In The Tropic”

“Young In The Tropic” sets the mood deep in the jungle. A thick layer of tribal drums sets the base of this track, with birds of paradise echoing above – mysterious chirps emanate from the deep. At the midway point euphoric stabs emerge to round it off in a heady, reverberant breakdown, sure to get you going on the dance floor.

On the flip side, the dreamy atmosphere of “Settle Up” maintains its levity through the meandering guitar and soaring synth, which floats above a housey bassline and Will’s signature percussive richness.

Bringing the tempo down a bit, “EMTN” rounds off the EP with machine driven percussion. The track simultaneously plays with the higher echoing synth stabs and a deep, cut bass line that pierces the low end. Sampled extracts from an interview explaining the experience of ecstasy interpolates through the record, it’s repetition emphasising the cycling highs of the drug itself. “The definition of ecstasy is: ‘beside yourself.’ And it is like being beside yourself. It’s like a new part of you is coming out in a pure way, just pure emotion coming out. Emotion’s madness.”

The COEO boys need no introduction anymore. Their two last singles made it into the sets of so many  DJs (..and went #1 on Traxsource and Juno). They are among the emerging artists of that new German scene of kids that make house inspired by old Jazz and Funk records. The boys are mad about rare vinyl. And they love to make music with a positive spirit. Yes, there is something sunny in their tracks. Something that instantly makes you want to move. We heard so many mixtapes that started with a COEO track. Makes sense: They are perfect to set a vibe. A good mood. First release of the new label Poetry In Motion Music comes by the hands of Werkshy, Sydney born but London based artist who has already had important releases on labels like Guesthouse and Midnight Riot.

The EP contains 2 original tracks plus a tremendous remix by Mexican producer 4004, with releases on top labels such as Fogbank or Quintessentials.

“Everyday” it’s a dancefloor killer and it has everything to be defined as the summer bomb: groovy rhodes, a powerful vocal and a deep message. Hands in the air because the sun is shining!

4004 remix has that deep house heat, with a dance inducing groove that will make you sweat while you are moving like Jamiroquai at the club.  

“Everybody” instead it’s an hypnotic-disco-house-dancefloor-filler, with its catchy melody, pumpin bass and jazzy trumpets!

A fusion is only ever as good as the sum of its parts. When MistaJam’s Speakerbox and the legendary garage label Public Demand decide to pair up for a release, you know something special is in the air.
Creeping in the Dark is a bass and garage fusion of taught and bouncy basslines that stabs and prod their way along beneath the distinctive, free flowing deliveries of Jungle 70. It’s modern, pristine production that glows with a late night neon hue. Scraping percussive slaps, alien FX and rasping synths all twist and turn throughout, demanding you dance, and the main mix also comes with a radio edit, instrumental mix and extended radio edit.
You may know Majestic from his work as Front man of The Wideboys, Micky Slim, Jacob Plant an MC and host for Bass, House and Garage events, most notably working alongside the likes of Skream, DJ EZ, Laidback Luke and MJ Cole and lending his vocals to many an anthem including Mosca's "Bax

“Creeping In The Dark” is the first glimpse of Majestic’s production chops in his own right and will soon elease his solo productions on MistaJam’s Speakerbox label. While this is the first of Majestic’s productions, he already produces under a number of secret aliases –you probably own a few of his tracks.
His vocal partner for this EP is the mysterious Jungle 70, part of a futuristic crew called Streetbotix who have been programmed to specialise in various street style art forms. For more information you’ll have to keep an eye out for the video when all will be revealed.
After being re­launched with the amazing Disclosure remix of Artful Dodger’s classic ‘Please Don’t Turn Me On’, the seminal Public Demand records is back and firing on all cylinders, ready to build on it’s already legendary legacy with fresh new releases. ‘Creeping In The Dark’ is to be released in partnership with MistaJam’s Speakerbox very soon.
