Stefano Curti, the visionary music producer and mastermind behind VIBRAPHONE Records, epitomizes the essence of Italy's internationally acclaimed Underground House Music scene. His journey through music began amidst the fervor of post-punk, weaving through the realms of industrial and electronic landscapes. In the late 80s, Stefano made history as part of the pioneering music collective, The True Underground Sound of Rome, laying the foundation for what would become his indelible mark on the genre.
In 1990, Stefano founded Vibraphone Records in the vibrant heart of London, with its maiden release, "NIGHT PASSAGE" by 49th Floor, etching its place in musical history. Crafted within the confines of Stefano's North London bedroom, this debut epitomized the true spirit of house music – raw, authentic, and unapologetically underground. Embracing a hands-on approach, Stefano personally distributed records from the trunk of his Fiat Panda, traversing the streets of London, forging connections with each shop and every DJ who craved the pulse of the underground.

 "NIGHT PASSAGE” [the Bongo Mix] swiftly became an underground sensation, its beats echoing across the airwaves of Kiss FM and The Ministry of Sound, solidifying Vibraphone Records as a powerhouse of the genre. Stefano's sonic legacy continued to flourish, with a plethora of classic underground house records gracing compilations and DJ sets worldwide, each vinyl release evolving into coveted collector's items, fetching soaring prices on platforms like Discogs.
After a hiatus, driven by popular demand and unwavering passion, Vibraphone Records resurfaced in 2015, reigniting the flames of its storied past. New releases, enriched by the creative genius of remixers such as Larry Heard, Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson, and Derrick May, pay homage to the timeless allure of Stefano's sound.
A virtuoso musician in his own right, Stefano infuses his tailor-made DJ sets with electrifying live elements, captivating audiences with each performance. Now calling the United States home, Stefano Curti continues to push the boundaries of musical expression, his vision and passion resonating through every beat, every melody, and every soul touched by the magic of VIBRAPHONE Records.

BCCO Podcast 380 is very special one. Today we are honoured to have electronic music pioneer Steve Rachmad aka STERAC with us with a two-hour set that was recorded live for promoter 01366 at the White Hotel in Manchester, UK.

Steve has used a range of aliases over his career reflecting his diverse outputs covering dub, disco and house. But STERAC’s focus has always been on the no-nonsense, darker, and deeper side of techno and this set is no exception to that.

Music Collective born during the dawn of the '90s, Vibraphone Records has interpreted the native House verb of Chicago & Detroit according to a vision steeped in electronics destined then to mark history. Seven vinyl in which is contained all the visionary approach of these Romans producers and DJ’s able to create angelic melodies and rhythms that can penetrate the soul of all listeners. These original recording are now considered rare collector items and sought after Pearls and they have raised the level of attention around these obscure artists which are now returning to the scene after a long pause.
Revitalized by an increasingly new young audience interest this label has reached a cult status and it is now been re-launched via Juno Records.
Vibraphone Records is now coming back with their first reissue of the mythological "The Bermuda Triangle” EP a 2 X 12”EP containing the analog re-mastered version of the original 6 tracks first released in 1992 plus 2 new bonus tracks.
This first release will be followed by a complete reissue of all the 90’s original catalogue and a load of new productions ready to surprise again with the perfect combination of rhythm and melody that gave birth to the legendary Vibraphone Sound.
