Vibration Lab & The Digital Messiahs - Digital Messiahs Theme/ Dovecot

Future Reggae Don's: Vibration Lab have teamed up with some of London's best and MC's and Singers to create a Digital Reggae "super group" consisting of the Vibration Lab duo on production and the vocal talents of internationally renowned MC Brother Culture, Jamaican Soundsystem veteran: Colourman, top UK Reggae vocalist Donovan Kingjay and underground MC sensation Dark Angel aka Mowty Mahlyka.

	Forged in the "live" sessions at Reggae Roast Soundsystem in London, Vibration Lab specialize in throw-back juggling style, reminisent of the "old-school" Jamaican soundsystems  who would have a team of MC's and singers to perform over riddims in the dance. Vibration Lab realized the power of these sets and set-forth to capture the excitement of these Digtial Reggae Dancehall cifers in the studio. Vibration Lab set about to create some new riddims in homage to the Digital Reggae they grew up on, but with their own modern twist. Then they assembled the group of incredible talent and voiced at the legendary UK Reggae Producer Nick Manasseh's studio. The result was amazing! 
	
	Digital Messiah's Theme - featuring: Brother Culture, Colourman, Donovan Kingjay and Dark Angel aka Mowty Mahlyka 
This song is an introduction to the group which showcase's each performers unique style and delivery: Brother Culture who has been chatting on soundsystems since 1982, sets things off by introducing the crew, then super soulful singer Donovan Kingjay delivers the hook in his strong soulful way. The unique voice of the legendary Jamaican MC Colourman takes over in a style and patteren all his own, this is followed by the power of the chorus once again delivered sweatly by Donovan but backed up by the whole crew. Next comes the understated deepness and power from the incredible MC Dark Angel aka Mowty Maylyka who , finally the "Captain" of the team Brother Culture steps up with a mastery of lyrical flow through is years chatting on countless soundsystems. This tune is an announcement of intent of this new team to the world! Here come the Wu-Tang Clan of Digital Reggae!

This song is a masterclass in Digital Reggae Dancehall MCing by the one and only Colourman who had  world hits in the 80's with tunes like: Kick Up Rumpus and Dirty Ways Gal. As a leader of Sugar Minott's Youthman Promotion Sound, Colourman worked with all the greats including: Tenor Saw and Yami Bolo! Accompaning Colourman is the singer of the group Donovan Kingjay (also associtaed with Youthman Promotion and is also Sugar Minott's godson) Donovan gives his rendition of the classic tune 'Tears' as the chorus and then Colourman takes things to another level. The riddim for the tune is a Digital Reggae Dancehall tour de force from Vibration Lab!

Every aspect of this project has been taken to the highest level! All the tracks were mastered at the great Star Delta Audio Mastering, where they processed the tracks through their amazing anolouge equipment which gives the music a real warmth and clarity!

This is just the first taste from this exciting collaboration, a full album has already been recorded and will be released in 2018. There was something about that 1980's Digital Reggae Sound that was way ahead of it's time. Vibration Lab have taken it, put their own mark on it and brought it to now! Vibration Lab want to show that before there was Hip-Hop, Reggae invented the art of MCing, time to take it back!!!

Vibration Lab is a production/dj duo/record label and events group based in London who create and promote: Future Digital Reggae. Over the last 10 years Vibration Lab have been on the cutting edge of the Reggae influenced BASS music scene in Europe. They have performed at The Glastonbury Festival, Outlook Festival, Bestival, Secret Garden Party, Lovebox, One Love Festival, Tokyo Dub, Madness's House Of Fun Festival and all around Europe including: Holland, Romania, Poland and Czech Republic. They have also travelled to the US and played at the famous Dub Mission in San Francisco. They have shared the stage with the likes of Mungo's Hifi, Dread Squad, Benny Page, Suggs from Madness, RSD, Radikal Guru, ShyFX, David Rodigan, Trojan Sound System, Twilight Circus, Conscious Sounds, Disciples, Alpha Steppa, The Bug, OBF, Mr.Williamz, Curtis Lynch, Ranking Joe, Panda Dub, King Shiloh, Alpha & Omega, Kenny Knotts, Charlie P, Jacky Murda, Dubkasm, YT , Solo Banton and Soom T just to name a few. They are also part one of the most exciting Reggae/Dub Soundsystems in the UK: (Reggae Roast ) who play all over England and have multiple residences in London. Vibration Lab works often as a DJ for thelegendary and  internationally known artist MC Brother Culture. Vibration Lab have recorded and remixed Reggae greats like: Linval Thompson, Rod Taylor, Wayne Jarrett. Vibration Lab have been associated with Dubby "Reggae influenced" Bass music but they have recently done two remixes pressed to vinyl:  Blend Mishkin & Roots Evolution Feat. Skarra Mucci & Mandinka Warrior ?– Original (Vibration Lab Remix) on Nice-Up Records NPU028 7" and Sound Transmission Records-12"-Empress / Solo Banton Feat. Sabrina Bell + Gallang / Parly B - Vibration Lab Remix) which signal a shift to a more "Digital" Reggae sound. 

For their next project they have assembled a "super group" formed out of the "live" sessions on the Reggae Roast Soundsystem. At these dances the pair would select in a throw-back 80's style,in the fashion of "old-school"sounds like Youth Promotion in Jamaica, with teams of singers and mc's. Along with help of Reggae soundsystem veterans: Brother Culture, Colourman, Donovan Kingjay and Dark Angel the pair went into the studio to re-create the energy and excitement of these dances and thus: Vibration Lab & The Digital Messiahs was born. The first single from this project will come out on the Vibration Lab label and is called: (Digital Messiahs Theme) feat:Brother Culture, Colourman, Donovan Kingjay and Dark Angel. A full album of the project will be released this year!

Vibration Lab is also working with up and coming MC/Singer Natty Campbell on some new material to come out on the Vibration LabLabel, first release is called: Tell It To Dem on the Utica Riddim, which will be ot soon!
