As society weaves it's way through slightly uncertain times, your friendly agricultural groove-hunters have taken it upon themselves to flip the script and "Change The Narrative".

Joining our colourful Copycow tribe for the first time is Warwick Ferguson's newest project - 'The Oddness'. Three original tracks delivering a strong message of positivity and hope, simmering in a slow cooked progressive energy that unveils the nonchalant Aussie swagger that "The Oddness" is quite famous for in the festival circuit.

The title track is given an upbeat re-dress by our in-house cows Breger and Timboletti, whilst Mula revisits 'Every Step' with an energetic yet downtempo vibe to round of this tasty release for you.

We are delighted to present you the 1st musical creation of Kaöb &Wākhan Project, an event to celebrate!

The friendship and fusion of their two universes made it possible to create the O'Tawa collective and this musical project is not only the fruit of their work and passion, but also of the magic of synchronicities.

Sacred Native was born from the common desire to celebrate indigenous peoples around the world.
Inspired by sacred Native American songs, flutes of the indigenous people of the Cherokee, percussion and an ancient ritual musical instrument: The Bullroarer.

Historically used to communicate over great distances, dating back to 18,000 BC. JC, discovered in Ukraine and used this time in Canada.

In ancient Greece it was a sacred instrument used in the Dionysian Mysteries and is still used in rituals worldwide.

It was a prominent musical technology among the Australian Aboriginal people, used in ceremonies and to communicate with different people groups across the continent.

Many different cultures believe that the sounds they make ward-off evil influences.

ABOUT THE VA:
The Skanda Purana (IAST: Skanda Purāṇa) is the largest Mukyapurana, a genre of eighteen Hindu religious texts. The text contains over 81,000 verses, and is of Kaumara literature, titled after Skanda, a son of Shiva and Parvati, who is also known as Murugan. While the text is named after Skanda, he does not feature either more or less prominently in this text than in other Shiva-related Puranas. The text has been an important historical record and influence on the Hindu traditions related to the war-god Skanda.

The earliest text titled Skanda Purana likely existed by the 8th century CE, but the Skanda Purana that has survived into the modern era exists in many versions. It is considered as a living text, which has been widely edited, over many centuries, creating numerous variants. The common elements in the variant editions encyclopedically cover cosmogony, mythology, genealogy, dharma, festivals, gemology, temples, geography, discussion of virtues and evil, of theology and of the nature and qualities of Shiva as the Absolute and the source of true knowledge.
The editions of Skandapurana text also provide an encyclopedic travel handbook with meticulous Tirtha Mahatmya (pilgrimage tourist guides), containing geographical locations of pilgrimage centers in India, Nepal and Tibet, with related legends, parables, hymns and stories.

Tlazohtla • Relax (Original Mix)

Baikal Nomads drops a new downtempo organic house release by Matt Jah which also features a remix from Sadhu Sensi.

Matt Jah is a well-travelled Italian songwriter, composer and electronic music producer who takes inspiration from different cultures. Blending live instruments and electronic sounds, his tracks often infuse enchanting melodies from far-off lands with indigenous tribal rhythms.

This is Matt Jah‘s second time releasing on Baikal Nomads after he recently featured a track on the label’s Badarchin, Vol. 6 compilation. His track "Canto a La Lluvia" was one of the standouts from the release and now he is back with four new originals.

Sadhu Sensi is a South African artist who takes influence from nature to produce tracks with uplifting energy and earthy percussion. He is a talented musician who often adds guitars and other instruments to his electronic music productions and his music can be found on record labels such as Cosmic Awakenings, Katermukke and Amselcom.

“Espiral” opens the release with a trippy synth line that is fused with a heavy kick drum and shuffling organic percussion to form the foundation of the tracks. Its focal point is a quena flute which fills the track with enchanting vibes before the synths get warped and twisted for a psychedelic ending.

“Indigena” blends a variety of atmospheric textures to create a sonic tapestry that's full of vibrant colours. Its shuffling rhythms and building suspense are augmented with chunky percussion and bursts of melody from the lead synth.

“Ohm Nay” orientates around a chopped-up guitar sample that's combined with Matt Jah's recorded vocals which he sings in channelled language. Capturing the imagination of the dance floor, its deep bassline and downtempo groove provide a steady flow of energy.

“Orizonte” blends different flute samples with the uplifting energy of fast-flowing percussion rhythms and a modulating synth line that ripples with acid tones. It's got a mystifying atmosphere that puts the listener into a trance with its spell-binding groove.

Sadhu Sensi's remix of Ohm Nay adds a new bassline which forms the foundation of his rework, which lifts the tempo and strips back some of the original's percussion to create a refined version that's perfect for DJ sets.

Talking about his release, Matt Jah said: "Ritmo De La Selva" is a deep search for sounds and rhythms inspired by travels around the world. Rich in African percussion and Andean instruments. The concept of this Ep is to take the listener on a journey through forests, mountains, lakes and uncontaminated spaces. Nature is the guide within each song. Particularly in "Ohm Nay" where I sing, the chant is in channelled language, also called "light language." It is a form of free singing that begins with meditation and ends with free expression."

After a deep, blissful sleep, the little witch woke up just before sunrise.  She quickly realized the little fluffy thing she was holding tenderly in her arms, was actually a lion cub and when looking around, she saw a lioness watching the two of them with endearment … clearly the cub’s mom.  Slowly it dawned to the girl that she had been sleeping in the middle of a circle of lions … easily the best possible protection in the savanna.  Despite being far away from her home forest in North-Western Europe, the little witch felt absolutely at ease.
Soon time had come to say goodbye to the friendly pride of lions and continue to fly into South/South-Eastern direction.  The girl flew over a wide variation of breathtaking landscapes, while the savanna gave way to forests and lakes and marshlands.  At one point, she saw several columns of black smoke rising up from the edge of a forest.  When she came closer, she realized the fires had been lit by humans in a deliberate effort to destroy the forest.  The little witch burst into tears at the sight of this senseless destruction.  Yet she followed her inner compass and continued to fly southwards, over a vast lush green forest.  The European girl had never seen such an immense forest, which was way bigger than all the forests of her homeland combined.  It was lush and green and full of majestic trees.  After flying over this rainforest for nearly one hour, the witch felt how her heart started to throb faster as her inner compass indicated that she was nearing her destination…
