The second release from Sufferah’s Choice is a one-riddim collaboration 12” EP between Dubkasm and Ashanti Selah, the son of the great Aba Shanti-I, and a huge talent in his own right. It opens with a rare guest vocal by the legendary Keety Roots.  A conscious mystic who is renowned for 90s gems like his legendary vocal ‘African Blood’, and for his heavyweight productions on his own Black Legacy label. 

Keety usually only voices his own productions so having his gentle but righteous voice over Dubkasm’s trademark bass and horns and Ashanti Selah’s bubbling keyboards and frenzied drums is a huge and rare honour. A pounding echo filled dub follows.  The b-side is given over to a jubilant horn cut, blending Ashanti Selah’s digital power with Dubkasm’s deep organic sound, and the sparsely melodic instrumental cut.

Dubkasm have known Ashanti Selah since he was a boy, through their friendship with his father, and have watched him grow up in the roots tradition. This collaboration, which has been championed worldwide by the great Aba Shanti-I shows a deep dub connection.

Like all Dubkasm releases, this was mastered on 1/2” tape by Lewis at Stardelta; much requested and highly sought after, this is not a release to sleep on.

Their music is at the forefront of the UK Dub scene, proven by over 40 releases on their own legendary SCOOPS label as well as a host of albums, singles and remixes for a myriad of other labels such as Universal Egg, Jarring Effects, Dubhead and Jah Tubbys . In the studio they have worked with Zion Train, Iration Steppas, Macka B, Ranking Joe, High Tone, Big Youth and an almost endless list of dub & reggae luminaries. Wether dub-mixing live on stage, rocking the clubs or uplifting the festivals, Vibronics continue to perform tirelessly across Europe as well as in Asia, Central America and the Caribbean.

Vibronics come roaring out of their studio with 12 brand new remix collaborations featuring the cream of French dub artists … High Tone, Zenzile, Brain Damage, Weeding Dub, Blackboard Jungle, OBF and Kanka are just some of the artists to be re-worked in this one away international project.

3 x 10" single release on SCOOPS Records for summer. This host of killer new vocals include works by Demolition Man, Ras Tweed, Professor Natty & Echo Ranks as well as instrumental contributions from London's Ital Horns and Tokyo's Killer Sista Makiko.
