Started playing guitar in Japan under the instruction of a mad Japanese Bar owner. Have taken my guitar everywhere with me since then - through Asia, Europe and now East Africa - exploring new sounds, styles and influences. Noodles with the guitar to remain sane. Writes pretty little folky pixie tunes which get passed to my producer (http://soundcloud.com/deadkousin) who noodles with the computer thus making spangly electronic 'folkstep' style pieces. Am always interested in jamming with different musicians of any musical genre or leaning - and am happy for artists to contact me if they want to remix or sample any of my stuff. Am interested in collaboration - especially if you play a string, wind instrument or tabla! Am really keen to work with a male vocalist/songwriter for some harmony and folky collab work - so get in touch!

Been in numerous bands including - Storm Machines, tRIANGLEkULT, sERVER pUNK and Endlesss Fm’s TRACK CLUB.

Dead Kousin studied a BA (hons) in Music Composition (Manchester Met. '97-'00) and under one of Massive Attack/Sabres of Paradise's sound Engineers at Weston College of Music.
Nearly three decades of composition and production/engineering experience.
MC back in the day with DJ Hardware (also performed with DJ Hype, Dr S. Gachet etc.)

Spent a year in Tanzania working with a youth empowerment project and ran a music club with the students. Some of our recordings are on the Umoja Muziki Club page.

Lyfe is just like the leaves so he goes with the flow,
In the year of the scorpions he was born in Saint James hospital in Leeds to Ghanian parents Doris Okine and his prodigal father Fredrick Cann. His name is Francis Jojo Cann, Surrounded by music at an early age Don Jojo found himself holding position as a lead tenor in his local choir. 

“For me its the only thing I love doing because I wasn’t really good in class but I try to find some thing I could escape to and with God, every thing is possible” he says.“I was brought up in a church but always see my self as a lost soul, as a child growing up it wasn’t very pleasant, things were very hard in those days and mama had to go thru a lot. 

Don Jojo later found himself back in the UK. Music being the only thing he knew, he decided walk the path. He later was introduced to Djinn through a mutual friend and since then, the musical book “The Stickup kid” was written. Since 2006, Don Jojo has been working on his E.P “The Stickup Kid” and been recording ever since.
