The long musical history of Sqeef began in childhood and started from playing the piano. Following many years as a classical pianist, Sqeef found himself was drawn to the electronic music world - exploring the realms of ambient, experimental and the enticing rhythms and textures of deep, hypnotic techno.
Sqeef’s unique blend of melancholic and spatial sounds is fully
captivated. His music - being a powerful, futuristic ride through interstellar space.
His mixes rouse the exact same feeling - a cinematic-like experience thanks to the cosmic soundscapes and oscillating, organic percussions - each twist and turn-taking you into a new corner of the cosmos.
With more than 14 releases, Sqeef tries to plunge deeper and deeper
into the space of endless metamorphoses of reality with each next track.
As a promoter, with friends from the Kyiv promo group Dots, a community of free-thinking people has been created. Many artists of the hypnotic scene performed at Dots events. In 2021, a joint event with Boiler Room took place in Kyiv.

Miniatures Records

The word can be read up and down and it is mirror-like compared to the vertical symmetry axis. The evocative sense of the word “Miniatures” referring to the past and that one of the record label referring to the present agree in a sign based on the symmetry, balance and synthesis principles that take suggestion by Taonism philosophy... according to which the universe exists in a dynamic condition of equilibrium that flows back and runs with the interaction of the opposites. The two halves aren’t in opposition but in a mutual relationship. “Miniatures” signs its own pieces with a label characterized by a contemporary sign but that refers to an ancient and qualified way to do from which are derived authentic masterpieces of precision and care. Music for fans, lovers of a piece impervious to the logics of mass-production.
The colour proposed for the mark is red in the positive version, white on red in that negative one. The reason derives from the etymology of the word “miniature” that is from the latin “minium”, a particular red colour, and it indicates an image realized to decorate ancient manuscripts. Employed in this operation were the “rubricatores”, qualified scribes that added at the end of the papers of the manuscripts supplementary parts in red to emphasize some sections. Also the word “rubricatio” derives from the latin “rubricare” and it means to colour in red. Later on, since the fourteenth century the spreading of small size illustrations had changed the meaning of “miniature” and it had indicated paintings, objects and forms of small size realized with great care.
The final sign contains also anthropomorphic abilities that put it even more within the marks adapted to the activities that contain perceptive and sensorial experiences like that musical one.
