James began composing late on in his university career at Chichester whilst studying opera and classical music for his BA (Hons) degree. Composing was a mandatory path through James' degree and after much research, trial and sleepless nights, James found a hidden passion for creating his own sounds, not only limited to creating music, but soundscapes and engineering new noises to add to his network of creations.
After a very successful premiere piece of work for a modern dance piece titled 'CHARGED', James began focusing on building up his composition repertoire in a variant of styles, from cinematic epic, through modern soundscape to provoking minimalist. After completing his degree, James worked on creating his first trailer titles for Worthers Creative Media, tilted 'WAR in AFRICA' (http://vimeo.com/35888307) and went on to write music for Chichester university Dance undergraduates, Musical Theatre undergraduates, Centre Stage Academy based in Midhurst, The Academy of Performance Training Based in Guilford and West sussex based magician, Ben Lathburys magical stage show, 'DREAMCATCHER'.
James also teaches Vocal technique privately and is currently musical director for Centre Stage Academy, Midhurst, W. Sussex.
James is very excited for future projects and is currently looking to write for theatre, short films, adverts, documentaries, backing tracks, musical theatre, theatre soundscapes, modern dance and any other style of multimedia.
