EKTO1 is a Producer, Re-mixer, Vocalist, Instrumentalist & just plain Mentalist from the UK who's style is very much eclectic, touching on styles of Drum N Bass, Dub step, Techno, House, Jazz & basically any sound that has grabbed him at that time. EKTO1 will most often be found in his studio, feeding his creativity and perfecting his craft.

In the late 90's, EKTO1 teamed up with Lawrence Fernando to create a production duo called 'Endorphine' a collective which later filled out with other musicians and vocalists for live shows. This mix and blend of Drum and Bass along with live musical instruments was enough to capture the attention of a certain MC Conrad & PHD from Good looking Records. Further down the line a DnB collective called M.A.S.S. was formed and between them, they launched several 12"releases, a foray in which again gave EKTO1 vital experiences, with even more to come when becoming the emcee and front man for a band called The Plastik Gangstaz.
Around this time he, along with a fellow Producer and band mate Ben Amesbury were writing music for TV that was eventually used on the Discovery Channel.

In order to keep his productions funded, EKTO1 worked for several years as a product demonstrator for Roland UK focussing on keys and V-Drums.
The vocal aspect continued after Plastik Gangstaz parted company, with EKTO1 MCing with various DJ's, most notably with DJ Furney, performing at venue's such as the legendary Gatecrasher & Fabric plus some air time and exposure on radio stations such as Life FM.

After time it was back to the studio doing what he loves best, creating new sounds and developing a library of tracks in which some were then taken
to Furney's studio. It was there that some of these tunes caught the attention of DJ Nookie and in 2013 EKTO1 had releases on Nookie's label Uploaded Recordings and a selection of other tracks were then also picked for releases across Nookie's other 2 labels, Phuzion Records and Urban Deep. "

In the same year an artist agreement was put in place with Sleep Less Records for which releases are now penned in for 2015. 

On hearing EKTO1's remix of 'Butterflies' on Uploaded Recordings, a Dub step/Rock/Reggae artist from Miami, FL, 'Kevens' drafted EKTO1 in following an introduction from Con*Natural Music, to begin work for several
months producing 6 tracks for Keven's live set in the US. Kevens looked to EKTO1 to help him get exactly the big stage sound he was looking for. Of the 6 tracks produced for this live set, 2 went on to be released as singles 'My Baby Boo' and 'Find Your Light'. 
EKTO1 has in the meanwhile, continued to build on his Drum and Bass roots, adding more material to his library, which was frequently pushed by
Conrad's 'Con*Natural Music' (CNM) through their monthly podcasts. He has also recently had a hand in remixing the classic track 'Rebounded' by Nookie, the EKTO1 and Paul SG remixes have been causing a major storm in clubs all over the world. 

2014 saw a new partnership forged between Oliver Morris and EKTO1 following an introduction through CNM. Oliver Morris is a stand out figure in London's fashion scene working extensively on photo shoots, film production and party promotion. Since using EKTO1's track 'Batteries Included' as the soundtrack to the promo video for Oliver's legendary 'Sex, Lies and a DJ' parties, several promo, music and experimental collaborations quickly followed with a view to taking this formula even further in to the future. 

With new tracks continually being worked on and releases lined up on Sleep Less Records in 2015, plus a whole heap of other projects being worked on, the future's definitely looking bright.
