This song grew from a short story I related to friends on FB about simply refinishing a trashed table we once found in a Baltimore alley while walking our dog Lucy and refinishing it into something beautiful.  

After a number of comments suggesting that there was more to the story than simply refinishing a piece of old furniture, I decided to write a song based on that story.

As I wrote the lyrics and worked hard at producing a certain sound and listening over and over again, I came up with the final result you can listen to here.
The more I played it and listened to my own words, the more I realized it was about something much more important than that table.  It was about People, relationships, rescued pets and life in general.

Please listen, share with your friends, and see if it has an effect on you more than the simple story about refinishing an old table.
