As usual in OFF, we keep scouting the best in deep house throughout the whole world, this time our music venture takes us again to one of the most thriving scenes in the world: Brazil. Experienced duo from Rio, Bruce Leroys formed by Diogo & Marcelo make their debut with a huge first ep.

"Get Me Right feat. Dr. Shinigami" is the title track for this project, a deep nu-style house with trippy vocals and a garage wobble synth bass that gives the track a very special feel. 

So special that we teamed up Barber and Vanilla Ace, already OFF family with some hits under their belts, to provide a fantastic remix keeping the original main elements but shuffling the groove into a deep-dance stomper.

"My Love Is feat. Ellie Ka" by Luthier & Bruce Leroys is another house masterpiece with a driving bass, analog synth arrangements and a supersexy female voice bringing in the lust.

"Uncle Frank feat. Marcos Hasselmann" closes the ep with style. A blues-inspired sample topped with a stomping bass, synth stabs and one of those vocals that are never easily forgotten.

This is a very promising debut for Bruce Leroys and we give them the warmest welcome here at OFF, enjoy!

madijuwon - Orchidée

Written and recorded during a 3 day session in the studio, there is a spontaneous and relaxing vibe on this album. Even the more intense and "angry" tunes tend to soften up in the end and dissolve into the creamy-washy space that creates the album atmosphere.

It feels like its a natural progression from "Memory Towers" - their first album recorded in 2012. Albalak was inspired to write lyrics and sing, Aviv recorded a solo album (Sol Monk) and got more into beats/electronica and Abro kept perfecting his bass lines and grooves.

The guests - KerenDun, Nitai Hershekovits and Marina Maximiliian Blumin - added a beautiful and unique musical touch. Each of them with his distinct color and attitude found a way to integrate and contribute in the best possible way, like a 4th band member.

What's the difference between LayerZ and Things on top of each other? It's a good question, think about it.....

Voted No. 1 in the ‘Top 100 Brazilian Albums Ever’ in Rolling Stone Magazine, Brazil

 'Acabou Chorare' is the second album from 'Novos Baianos’, or ‘New Bahians’, who formed in Bahia, Brazil in the 1960’s. They are considered to be one of the most important and revolutionary groups in Brazilian music.

 'Acabou Chorare’ - translated as ‘Stop Crying’ - was originally released in 1972 by Som Livre after the success of their first LP 'É Ferro na Boneca’ in 1970. It is considered to be one of the most important and influential albums of all time, charting at number one in a Rolling Stone Brazil's 'Top 100 Brazilian Albums Ever’ chart. 'Preta, Pretinha’ placed 20th in the same publications list of the greatest Brazilian songs of all time. Upon release, 'Acabou Chorare' stayed near the top on the album charts for more than thirty weeks, and received huge radio support across the country. It also became very popular in Europe shortly afterwards.

The unique sound of this record is a result of the fusion of samba, MPB, rock ‘n’ roll and bossa nova, and strong influences from Joao Gilberto, who frequently played with the group, and bossa nova legend Gilberto Gil.

 The album was written by Moraes Moreira, Luiz Galvão, Jorginho Gomes, Assis Valente, Pepeu Gomes and Paulinho Boca de Cantor. After recording, the group moved to a communal house outside Rio, where Galvão apparently shot video footage of the group on his Super-8 video recorder, some of which is featured in this documentary https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6J0bg9MdMo. Baby Consuelo was a member of the group – she went on to have a very successful solo career.

In 1969, Gilberto Gil and Caetano Veloso invited Pepeu to accompany them in their farewell show before their exile, the emotional 'Barra 69' concert.

DJ, audio producer and events producer, always working with Nujazz, Disco, Grooves and Deep House music, founded in 2007 along with fellow DJ’s Johnny and Felippe the project/itinerant Lounge, Nujazz, Grooves and Deep House music party Voyage and later in 2009, the event producer and dj agency Voyage INC (www.voyageinc.com.br).

His music studies began to be developed at the age of 11, with string musical instruments, but their influence on music electronic and dance music is being lapped early on his on house, where used to listen to Disco and Classic House music with his father. Over the past four years Gustavo gaining recognition and plenty of space of their work getting invitations to play, organize festivals and be resident in several projects in Sao Paulo as: Check In Garage at the Hot Hot Club (http://www.hothotsite.com.br/) NY77 at 3p4 (http://www.3p4.com.br/), Voyage INC. His productions are already resulting in positive feedbacks, and some of their tracks in Soundcloud had over 1100 plays in 20 days. Has already closed three EPs that will be launched in early 2011, with tracks that earned him remixes of producers such as Christian Mallon, Malcon Costa and Nytron.
