Fresh from playing CMJ, Adrian Galvin and Luca Buccellati are @Yellerkin, the handsome twosome currently winning over much of the industry (and the world) with their new single, Tools. Having just dropped the track's trippy visuals, the NY band have clearly been having late night adventures in the woods involving a touch of grave digging and plenty of Pranayama breath yoga/shamanic dance routine. Produced in their Bushwick bedrooms, Tools is a real genre hybrid, with a contagious energy pulsating as the boys reflect on the state of our generation. Stepping up to rework the track is Chicago’s @louisthechild, the preferred remixer of Bombay Bicycle Club. Slowing the tempo but upping our urge to dance, those killer steel pans will having you bouncing through your day with a smile on your face. Pretend it’s still summer, hit play, dance.

The mysterious Right On make their Say What? debut and immediately set the tone with &#8220;Craycray&#8221; where quirky percussive elements are in the lead, supported by a liquid, low end-heavy rhythm section.&nbsp; The M.in &amp; Safado mix simplifies things a bit and relies on the percussion rhythm while adding some menacing synths.&nbsp; On &#8220;Track For Bro&#8221; we are introduced to a sparse arrangement with simple rhythmic patterns and a slowly-grinding rhythm section, which leads us to the closing remix by Tarde which is a more rolling affair, yet still retaining the heads-down mode.

Once again we are sucked in to the twisted world of Bakkos, starting off with the discordant electronics of &#8220;Conduit&#8221;, where warped programming meets unorthodox attacks from all angles, but somehow making perfect sense.&nbsp; On &#8220;Entrada&#8221; pieces are put together to form something that resembles a tribal-esque groove while crackling snares lead the way and laid-back melodic overtones lace the affair with class.&nbsp; Closing up is the sleazy title track which is synth-led, blending analog riffs with haunting snippets, all coming together over a juicy, low-end-heavy rhythm section.

Deep Down & Defected is the mix album series that explores the deeper house and tech sounds from dancefloors around the world.
