The music of Nodus1 is instrumental improvisation that contains traces of the influence of  rock,folk, blues, jazz and bossa nova. The sources of sound are electronic, acoustic (treated and untreated) and extraneous sounds. The improvisation(s) within one recording are structured to greater or lesser degrees. Their music aims to encapsulate the mood of the moment in which it is recorded.

Nodus1 began in 2010 and have played low-key, informal gigs in London, Tokyo, Austria and Spain. (I once taught in a Tokyo university.)

Influences include John Fahey, Marc Ribot, Neil Young, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, The Necks, Seamus Innes, John Scofield, Tom Verlaine, Tom Jobim

All tracks are from the forthcoming album 'Eyeblink' (a work in progress)
