An 80's track I made this week. It started as an attempt to do some kind of Cracktro song, but it turned out in something a little bit different. It still has that Demoscene vibe, I guess (specially on the melody) :)

There are moments when sorrow mutates, twisting inward, then lashing outward, not as rage, but as pride. After heartache, after longing, comes this: a breath held too long, now exhaled with a smirk. Not quite healed, not yet indifferent, but stepping into a brittle confidence that masks the ache. It’s not forgiveness. It’s not peace. It’s a bitter triumph that says: You thank me? Well, you’re welcome.

"Arrogance" walks with shoulders raised, flaunting its defiance. A chorus that carries the melody like a banner, returning again and again to remind, to mock, to resist. But its verses shift and reshape, three distinct fragments, like shifting masks, unsure whether they want to defend, to wound, or to forget.

It moves through a hall of mirrors: shimmering, artificial light, reflections repeating endlessly, each one a little more warped than the last. A place where confidence is styled like armour, and silence echoes louder than words.

This is the last gleam of a poisoned crown, pride spoken into a void, just before the fall.
