Video Junkyard Podcast EP 201 - Willy's Wonderland

On this episode of the Video Junkyard Podcast, we revisit Perfection to take a look at the 1990 comedy/horror movie "Tremors". In this popular thriller franchise starter (directed by Ron Underwood and starring Kevin Bacon, Fred Ward, Finn Carter, Michael Gross, and Riba McEntire), the locals of a small southwestern town discover giant monstrous worm-like creatures (dubbed "graboids") rooting through the ground beneath their feet...and they are hungry! 
While "Tremors" wasn't a huge hit in the theaters, it spawned a seven-film (direct-to-video) franchise and a short-lived series.

Back in the winter of 2017 I invited a long time friend to bring his drum set to my dad's basement. He said he hadn't played in quite awhile and that his drums were all packed up in storage. Slowly I convinced him to get them out, set them up and dust them off. See how he felt about playing again. Given that he and I hadn't played together in close to fifteen years, it was a toss up to see if we still had the magic we did back in 2003. It is apparent to me that time and distance did nothing to fuck with our ability to create some rad grooves. Thanks to Chris Burkhart this track came alive. The words and vox came later.
