Following releases on Futureboogie, Don't Be Afraid, Omena and Alfresco Disco, Berlin-based producer @Kemback makes a long-awaited arrival on Bristol imprint Fate & Fiction to head up their latest VA compilation.

This compilation also features tracks from label boss Thrilogy, Colombian artist Joint4Nine, and Ment. ‘Set Me Free’ pairs lush pads and breaks with a soaring vocal for a ravey, hands-in-the-air opener.

Helsinki’s hot techno item ODJ Pirkka returns to his deep house roots with this original leftfield banger that comes packed with 3 excellent remixes, all of them existing on the deep side of the big house music fence.

Ilana Bryne’s remix takes the deep route, opening up with a classic funky percussion loop and some well placed keys and sound effects. Playful and sexy bassline shows up for a blissful session with an impeccable organ riff. The whole thing is a very deep and groovy affair, lovingly cooked with perfect ingredients and nothing extra by one of the master chefs of current US house music.

My guest this month is George Crowther AKA @mrsassdj A Close friend of mine whose track selection lends itself perfectly to the Cosmos sound. A man who lives with the heart of the white isle in his veins. 

His mix holds a strong narrative about the head space a lot of us have been through; darkness into a crescendo of power and optimism.

Rush City are the new Bogotá-based duo with a fresh exclusive 3-tracker out on YUNG DUMB Records, the label's first release of 2021. 'Natural Fear' is a song for the times, with heartfelt moody synth-work in tow, accompanied by woody 808 percussion, airy vocals, and a satisfyingly thick bass line.
