While watching the sun set over the horizon of Plattsburgh, I gazed over the skyline, only to see two birds scurrying around one-another. Their sounds inspired the call-response nature of the melody in my composition. It reminded me of the comical dance we engage in when with a lover. 

The increase in tempo to an overall conclusion with a slowed tempo to me denotes an embrace, from exhaustion and satisfaction.

If not a dedication, a lament, a cacophony in the name of words unspoken and anguish left to burn for eternity. All, in the name of the one that got away. Generally I prefer classical interpretations of pieces, but a fusion of both contemporary and classical technique cleared more blurred lines, further entrenching the  soul in sorrow.

Ah, an entree to the gallant fray of musicians. What lies beyond the smoke and haze for this eccentric pianist?
